Nice place...needs some work
VRBO told me that we could use the garage to park our motorcycles, but when we arrived, we were told the motorcycles were not allowed in the complex at all. With friends arriving from multiple locations, it became very stressful. Collins did their best to help. Even though the agreement said no motorcycles, the confirmation I had with VRBO said it was okay. How was I supposed to know that they were two separate entities when I made the booking?! Thanks to Collins and some very nice people, we were able to garage the custom bikes! So, the vacation wasn’t a complete disaster after all. As for the property...the master shower had an issue and maintenance fixed it no problem the same day. The ceiling in the living area is buckling and looks like it could fall at anytime. The cookware available is awful and needs to be replaced. The master sink was not cleaned. The instructions for the televisions are difficult at best. The mattress in the bedroom closest to the hammock is in bad shape and that party did not get more than an hour of sleep each night. The time turned into a great visit because we were determined to make it so, but for a property that should be top notch, it wasn’t. Also, the instructions should include door locking information as well. That also needs to be worked on. I am sure it is the salt air getting to the mechanisms, but it took multiple times to lock or unlock each time we left. The place has wonderful potential, but definitely needs some work. I would stay with Collins again, but not at that location. VRBO needs to be on the same page as the actual rental companies. It could have been a real disaster.
