Absolutely perfect

The whole purpose of the trip was fishing. Our Son was able to fish on the private dock. Also just across the street was a lot/walk way to access the beach. The place was clean and very well equipped with all the amenities. Sunroom was amazing

Great time on St George Island

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The wife and I had a great time. We walked the beach, rode our bikes on the trails, and explored the area on our Goldwing trike. Oh, we ate too much in many of the nice restaurants in the area.

Comfortable and inviting

Our stay was very relaxing with awesome views, comfortable furniture and spacious showers. The extras that were available to assist in my feeble attempt at fishing was definitely appreciated! Going in January isn’t the best time for that though . We visit the park a lot, so being close was convenient. January is a great time to look for shells and other free souvenirs on the miles of pristine breach.

A very beautiful place in a quiet location

The house is a very spacious place with awesome sun room overlooking the bay. The kitchen has everything you need for making meals. Also, the game room was an added bonus with ping pong table, darts and other games when its raining or at night. There multiple kayaks, a paddle board and beach buggy. We had a great time and will come back.

Wonderful house and location!

Absolutely fabulous vacation and stay at Shell Point! Awesome location and home on the bay, even better than the pictures. House was spotless and had everything we needed. Views were amazing. We had a great time kayak fishing in the bay and also enjoyed the beach which was just a very short and easy walk to get to. We rent on St. George most summers and this was the best house we've stayed at, and property managers were so thoughtful. Highly recommend!

Florida island vaca

Great house, great location if you’re looking for a quiet place. Dock in backyard is fabulous. Great sunsets every night from there! Beach is across the street. House is clean, 2 beds, 2 baths with terrific laundry room (washer an dryer ++). Sunroom off back of house nice for morning coffee and relaxing. Nice kitchen with wonderful farmhouse sink and updated appliances.

Rental company very good to work with ..we have used 3 or 4 others on SGI in 25 years. They are the best. Location on Bay and across from Gulf is perfect. House is a bit worn but very comfortable and spicy and span clean. It's easy to unwind and relax here. We love it!

Better than beach front

When renting this property we were somewhat disappointed that it was not beach front but that was quickly replaced with thanksgiving. This property is off the road has a fantastic dock and is private with great views of the bay! There is an access to the beach directly across from it. We think our view of the bay area was even better than the beach view. The sunsets in mid September were breathtaking and we could watch from the comfort and privacy of our dock!!!

The rental property was excellent with all the amenities you will want including kayaks and beach gear. The only I did not like was that t when I looked at the beach rental though your email, they charged my credit card twice for $70 when I did not select or place an order! That is considered FRAUD

First time staying on the bayside and fell in love

When we pulled into the driveway the house wasn’t right on the road which we loved. There is the coolest oak tree in front of the house which I instantly fell in love with. We went to the dock before we ever set foot in the house and saw large crabs and fish were jumping all in front off the dock. We love to fish so this was a welcomed sight. When we finally made into the house, we were not disappointed. Everything was clean and the house is spacious. It was stocked with everything we initially needed. This is our fourth summer in St.George and this is my favorite property. We hope to stay again.

Overall our stay was excellent. The size of the home and the location were great. Tremendous view of the marsh and bay! Service and communication with the rental agency was excellent. On the down side, the house and property are older and could use a lot of TLC. The grounds were unkept and in disrepair. While it could have been because of our stay, trees had been cut in the back yard and had not been removed. The dock area was new but had no railings or other safety features and we felt this was a liability. Inside, the kitchen and bathrooms were obviously remodeled, so we assumed the rest of the house was a work in progress. Again, a LOT of TLC needed. Furniture was old, worn, and in some cases smelled bad. In need of replacement. Same with the mattresses. They desperately need replacement. Downstairs game room smelled very musty and we did not use. Would we stay there again? Absolutely! But only because of the location and only if we has assurances that some improvements and repairs had been made. However, will definitely rent from Forgotten Shores Properties in the future.

First let me say that Forgotten Shores rental agency is 6 star! Phenomenal...and we have rented many homes over the years with very good service. . House is well equipped and very comfortable .The nature view is awesome,we saw two eagles actually sitting on a sandbar out beyond the dock. This is a home to relax in...SGI is our escape from crazy season in Clearwater!It's good to be back to our favorite home in SGI! (We have also rented in Plantation and East End Bayside numerous times so we have a comparison) Thanks for opening the home to renting again.

The bay is in the back yard and you have a private dock that’s in excellent condition with comfortable chairs. Watch gorgeous sunsets every night. The house is furnished with kayaks, life jackets and paddles. During high tide it’s pretty easy to launch right off your dock. The house is immaculate. It’s felt like home. Very generously furnished with everything you could need. Every room looks out to the bay! We only used the master bedroom but it was so comfortable. Whole house is very nicely updated throughout. Also it is right across the street from the beach. You just cross the not busy at all street and walk down a nice path. Beach is wide open and not crowded at all!

We used the state park right by the house to launch our skis. The dock sunrises and sunsets are beautiful. It’s very peaceful to sit out there by the water. The interior of the home is a little dated. The Queen bed was very uncomfortable. The TV in the master bedroom is a bit tricky to use and the bedroom fan shuts off in the middle of the night. Overall we were very pleased with the ease of communication and the location of this property.

Paradise!!

Perfect walking distance from private beach access. Shaded yard, beautiful bay view. Comfortable spacious home with all the amenities. We love coming to Shell Point and will definitely be back!
