「It was like staying at my aunty and uncle’s place rather than at a holiday rental. Kitchenware was more like what you would find in a home than a holiday let as was the rest of the home so it has everything you need. We struggled with the induction cooker! I struggled with the dust build up around the edges of the carpet. Other than that, the place was great - the location, the kayaks, the neighbour and the master bed was super comfy.」

「Everything was as described and the property presented exceptionaly well. Outside - a green lush lawn and shady trees. Inside - clean, comfortable, spacious and well equiped. We appreciated the kayaks in the shed as the lake is only a short walk away. The beach is a 15m minute walk away through the caravan park, or 15m along a bush track. 「My husband and I (along with our dog) loved staying here. It was a very relaxing stay with everything you need, and walking distance to the beach! Surrounds were very picturesque. There were a few cobwebs around inside, but nothing that bothered us much. Thank you for having us!」

「It was an amazing property and very cosy. We enjoyed our weekend and will be back soon. Only thing I have to say is the pin code door lock stopped working 2 times which we were lucky one of us was inside the house to open from inside. And the advertised baby cot and high chair wasn’t inside the property but we managed just a heads up for other people bringing their little ones. But over all fantastic property hence why we extended another night.」

「We chose to have a very quiet Xmas this year. Staying for 4 nights at Heron’s Rest was peaceful calm and serene. The surroundings and scenery are beautiful with the dam taking centre stage with lotus flowers bobbing and blooming. A glass of wine on the pontoon and watching our dog get control of her ‘Pontoon legs’ was very entertaining! We had everything we needed in the accommodation. The skyscraper loaf of bread was sublime. We would definitely return. Thanks again to our hosts.」
