Setting and comfort very good. Breakfast also good, evening meals good to adequate but avoid the buffet carvery as it was left out for hours under lamps and dried up.Overall would recommend hotel.

Food was excellent but didn’t like their system where you signed for meals and drinks and it went on your room number. Was interrupted three times while eating my evening meal , that was a no no for me. I went to reception and told them I didn’t like that, was told my concern would be passed on . Therefore in my 8 days stay I only had dinner first and last night in the hotel .

Second visit to this lovely hotel. The staff can’t do enough for you. Very courteous and helpful. I really feel I have to mention the restaurant. The food is 5* everything we ate , from breakfast to evening meal is cooked to perfection and the variety is wonderful . The food is deserving of a Michelin star alone. The waitress/waiter service is silver service. Everyone is dressed smart & professional . Happy smiling faces and always courteous . We loved the pool and it’s a bonus to have for a 3* hotel . The rooms were adequate and the kingsize bed was very very comfortable . We had a room that opened up to a communal seating area with sun loungers & patio furniture. Lovely flowers in log planters added to a very comfortable area to relax . Looking over the bay , watching the waves was just wonderful . All in all a beautiful top class hotel . Only downside was, not enough plug sockets in the room & the bar area lacked atmosphere . If you’re wanting a cheap short break , this hotel is definitely No.1 on my list . We will be returning in April. Can’t wait.

Good stay at the Fort.
Well organised with easy, simple check-in. Good breakfast with a wide choice. Reasonable menu for Evening meals, changed daily. Nice entertainment on in the well stocked bar in the evenings, e.g. a quiz on Wednesday and a singer on Thursday. Very nice indoor swimming pool, open 07:00 to 21:00. Very courteous staff, willing to help and sort anything out. Super fast free WiFi. Sovereign Car Hire across the road, which was very good. Bus stop right outside the entrance for getting about.

Gammeldags hotel hvilket er fuldstændigt hvad man forventer sådan et sted. God seng, dog ikke så gode puder. Man kan let høre dem på værelset over når de går rundt. Eneste decidere minus var en bartender der behandlede mig yderst mærkeligt. Da jeg ville købe en drink i baren ville jeg betale med kort, hvor han så yderst mærkelig ud. Jeg sagde jeg også havde kontanter, men han insisterede på jeg gik ud i receptionen for at få lavet en konto.. med mit kort. Andre gæster skulle ikke det. Få timer efter da jeg igen ville have en drink, kiggede han yderst mistroisk på mig og spurgte om jeg var gæst på hotellet... meget mærkeligt!

Unfortunately, due to system constraints we do not have a card machine in our bar thus guests can set up an account on check-in whereby drinks are added to their room account to be settled on departure either by the set up card or cash. It may be this misunderstanding that caused the bar issue.

Nice hotel
Good location, with bus stop outside. A bit disappointing the bar didn't take debit or credit card payments. Nice large sea view room. Comfortable bed.Quite an elderly clientele. Good breakfast. Breakfast staff very pleasant. Quite an early checkout as standard but they did extend by an hour.

Location
Located directly alongside a gently shelving sandy beach with no roads to cross. Plenty of rocks for scrambling over at low tide as Jersey has a high tidal range. At low water there is an adjacent public swimming pool. Hotel is adjacent to a Bus Stop (buses every 15 minutes) for access to St Helier 10 mins journey so no need for a car. Fire Doors etc restricts air flow down corridors making the hotel very warm at times. Restaurant food is rather plain although breakfast is quite substantial.

Hôtel très bien situé et belle vue dont nous n'avons pas profité. Notre chambre était côté rue et c'était très bruyant (heuresement matelas très confortable) Il y avait de la moquette dans la chambre et elle n'a pas beaucoup été nettoyée. .. Salle de petit déjeuner agréable mais à trois pas de possibilité d'avoir la vue directe (seulement à deux. .) Petit déjeuner typique anglais. Pas assez de fruits frais. Personnel en général sympathique et efficace (sauf un grognon! )

Thank you for your review. Our hotel has many room types including those with a view over the sea and beach. These can be booked individually and are popular.

Swimming pool excellent although lockers would be handy rather than leaving personal effects around pool side. Room well appointed but you might find your partner is in a different postcode when you go to sleep we have never had such a large bed. Only downside was other residents smoking on their balconies.

Thank you for your review. As our pool is only open to residents many would leave personal items in their room whilst using the pool. The balconies face directly out to St Clements Bay and usually the seas breezes would disperse smoking that is not allowed in the hotel itself.

Balcony is worth the extra payment. You get a fabulous view. Rooms were clean. Reception staff were very quick and efficient. Breakfast is the same everyday, which is okay for a few days, but not if you are there for longer. Could do with daily specials. Would recommend that training is given to a certain male dining room waiter, on how to set a table- use the handles and don’t put your thumb on the other end when putting cutlery on table. Had to clean my cutlery.

The location of the hotel was good and the manager was very helpful. Hotel was slightly dated and the stairs were quite steep (although the lift wsas very efficient).

Thank you for your kind review. Due to the seasonality of the Jersey market the hotel closes during the low, winter, period and it becomes difficult to completely refurbish every year just for six months. We will make a note for a refresh.

The hotel bedrooms are tired but there is a good swimming pool. Food was good and the staff are helpful. The hotel is more suited to the older generation but I enjoyed my stay and it is convenient for the centre of St Helier being a few minutes walk or there is a bus stop next to the hotel

Staff were friendly and helpful. We asked to change rooms due to having very soft mattresses that were uncomfortable. Unfortunately there were no other rooms available to change to but one gentleman on the reception desk was very helpful and tried to come up with a solution. Our room was ground floor with a sea front view. Unfortunately it was noisy as it was next to the kitchen/restaurant so unfortunately hotel staff and other guests were often waking past the patio window to smoke/walk out of the hotel. Unfortunately this did make it feel quite unsafe at times and I was concerned to leave the windows open, despite it being very warm in the room! Lovely breakfast- plenty of tables to sit at, staff were constantly refilling the buffet. Other hot food available on request which was a bonus! Nice bar area and reasonably priced drinks. Lovely pool and often quiet!
