"June 2026 - We spent five nights at The Crane Resort in Barbados and had a wonderful stay. The standout was the exceptional service. Every staff member we encountered was warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful. Our oceanfront king room with a fourth-floor plunge pool was spacious, and the views of the cliffs and ocean were absolutely breathtaking. The private plunge pool was a great idea, but the water was too cold to enjoy. Fortunately, both resort pools were excellent, especially the quiet pool. Don't miss the scenic overlooks around the property, and the nearby village with several great restaurants was wonderful. We also had one of the best massages we've ever experienced at the spa. This resort is fairly remote, so if you plan to explore Barbados extensively, renting a car is a good idea. We were there to relax, and the location was perfect. My only criticism is that the property could use some maintenance. There was noticeable wood rot in places, missing pool tiles, and some of the beautiful landscaping looked overdue for attention. It's still a stunning historic resort, but it's beginning to show its age.
Overall, we thought The Crane offered excellent value for the price. Given the choice, I'll take outstanding service over perfect facilities every time, and the wonderful staff made this a trip we'd happily recommend."
