Lake Front w/ 1.5 Acre Private Lot, Hot Tub, Paddle Boat, & Kayaks
10/10 Excellent
"This is a truly wonderful property—exceptionally clean, beautifully maintained, and set on a large, level lot with stunning lake views. The home is warm and inviting, with a great layout that offers plenty of space to relax and gather, whether upstairs, downstairs, on the deck, or out by the lake. There is plenty of space throughout, with ample bedrooms and bathrooms, and the home is completely updated including modern showers that add to the comfort of this beautifully refreshed lake cabin. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need, and the beds are very comfortable. The interior is thoughtfully decorated, creating a cozy aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. We especially enjoyed the outdoor spaces, including the deck and fire pit—perfect for taking in the views and spending time together.Communication with the owners is always excellent, which makes each stay even more enjoyable. This has truly become our go-to property, and we always look forward to coming back. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!"
"The owner was very nice and was very helpful in all our questions. We had reserved a room which we thought was the main house, but it ended up being in the guest house. We really wanted to stay in the main house. No questions asked, she moved us to the main house with no extra fees. She even gave us a tour of the property and showed us all the amenities. It was an absolutely beautiful room, however the bathroom definitely needs updated and maybe some suggestions will help. I understand they are trying to keep the look and feel of the historic house, but this day in age people want modern comforts. The sink was so small and sprayed water everywhere, and no counter space to put your cosmetics, etc... Turning the hot water on, took forever to get warm. There was shampoo/conditioner and body lotion samples but no shower gel which would have been helpful. The soap bars were almost the size of a quarter. We didn't see any bath mats, so we used our own towels to dry our feet on. The mirrors were so small also and the lighting was very dim. I will also note, this room had 2 beds in it and both beds were way too firm for our liking and the pillows were super thin. But if you like a very firm bed, then it will be great for you. Other then the bathroom experience, the property is gorgeous. We would have loved to have seen a longer time frame for breakfast, like a lot of the hotels 8-10am, but since it was 8-9am off season, we couldn't get down there in time and missed out."
"Kind of unorthodox but it works! There was no one to greet us upon arrival, we had to call a phone number for an access code to our room. Totally fine, just not the warmest welcome. Notes were left in case guests needed to make coffee in the common area. Fairies arrived early and started coffee and stocked breakfast goodies which were perfectly adequate. Overall it was a clean and quiet stay."
Family Friendly Waterfront Log Cabin on on the Wild & Scenic Clarion River
8/10 Good
"The Cabin had a beautiful view of the river. It was a peaceful stay. The cabin was nice inside with plenty of seating in the living room. Loved playing shuffleboard on the table in the lower part of the cabin. Over all the stay was good. "
"The breakfast was small, but good.
Love the little town.
Great ice cream place with in walking distance.
It was a nice stay.
Fyi. The fireplaces don't work. That was a bummer. Check out is 10am not 11 am like it says on expedia"
"Great location! Nice to be able to walk to the Clarion River. Host came right over when there was an issue with the TV. Loved that we could take our dog, first time we have traveled with him."
