「You cannot stay any closer to the Winslow Hill Elk Observation area. Wonderfully comfortable and rustic at the same time. Made good use of the grill. The deer were often in the backyard and morning was filled with bird song. Great getaway opportunity and easy to set up.」

「I was really happy with our stay at the Elk County Cottage. Rose, the property owner, was accommodating and helpful. The home was very clean with quality products available (shampoo, soap, pink himalayan salt, organic coffee, etc). Many items in the kitchen looked brand new. There also was an espresso machine. We would definitely stay here again when in the area. Thank you for a great stay!」

「Unfortunately we had a problem with the code to open the door. There was no phone number that was listed to contact directly. Luckily my daughter works for VRBO and was able to get us a phone number which I called and was able to connect with Emanuel. After that the problem was resolved. The place was excellent but unfortunately we did not see any Elk :(. I would highly recommend this place.」

「The tree house was unique and was great for a few days stay. Though it would have been helpful to know ahead of time in the on-line description that the water in not potable. The owners collect rainwater so it's not intended for consumption. Next, communication with the property manager through Vrbo email was a bit difficult...when I initially reserved the property I checked off how many children and their ages. This manager reached out a couple days prior saying the tree house is not...

「This was one of our favorite rentals. The owner goes the extra mile to make you feel at home and have fun at the same time. Check in was a breeze, the house is so clean, and beds were comfortable. My husband and I enjoyed the games! Walking distance to Straubs which we went to twice. Would definitely stay here again!」
