The location is beautiful and worked perfectly for our yearly trip. Upon arriving, everything looked picture perfect. Beautiful deck over the river was the first thing that caught our attention. There was a charcoal BBQ grill and we had briquettes and fuel to cook what we needed.
With that said, there needs to be some spring cleaning done. There’s quite a few cobwebs throughout the kitchen and corners and above the coatrack.
Make sure you have plenty of drinking water. We were not given a heads up about the sulphur in the water. You can smell it in the tap water, flushing the toilets, and in the shower. It didn’t seem as strong when we left, but we weren’t prepared for it. It didn’t really bother us much since we were out most of the day. It did dry out my face and my daughters face to the point it was peeling. I’d take some face cleaning wipes.
The bedroom downstairs is on the small side but had room for what our parents needed. The loft is very roomy but got really warm. We had to sleep with the fans on, one heater on downstairs and the window above our head open. There was a little wiggle room to put the pack and play up with us. There is a pack and play in the downstairs but I don’t remember seeing it listed on the amenities. There is no baby gate of any sort ,which surprised me. For a place that’s acceptable to children I assumed there was one. The amenities also said there was WiFi, there is not. In fact, there’s no TV of any sort for children to wind down in the evening or to watch the news in the mornings. Leave yourself some time before checking out to do all the things on the honey do list before leaving if you want your deposit back. For having to pay a cleaning fee you’d assume you wouldn’t have to do laundry, dishes, and take out all the trash. Maybe that’s just me.
There seemed to be plenty of towels and washcloths for everybody.
We loved the fact there was a washer and dryer. It definitely came in handy. It’s a little dated and can’t handle much at a time but it was nice to have.
Overall, I would stay again. I know what there is and what exactly I needed to pack.
