「I booked the property for my parents & their friend as a surprise getaway to relax. The first thing my parents commented on was how clean the property was and that it smelled amazing on arrival. They loved the location of the house, also they appreciated that should kids be staying there, the toys/dress up provided & also the style of the second bedroom would be fantastic for them. 「A pleasant cottage, but there is no access to back garden as 2 very large dogs were there. They also scratch / jump at the back door (in lounge) in the middle of the night! Front garden not as pretty as picture with some dog mess and dogs watching through gate. Lastly boiler is in bedroom so you can hear when it comes on. 」

「The host responded promptly to our messages, all instructions were clear and the home was warm for us on our arrival. The space was cleverly planned to have everything you need. The views were beautiful and we were lucky to have dry days to explore Gibside and the Derwent valley. Lovely peaceful location, amenities close at hand.
