Escape to The Loft at Kettlestone with a hot tub, a secluded second-floor apartment just minutes from the Mountain Parkway and Red River Gorge. Though close to all the attractions, this countryside retreat offers a peaceful setting atop a hill, boasting spectacular views of surrounding forests and hills. Designed for two, The Loft features a private entrance and deck, large vaulted rooms, a tiled bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen. The Loft has designated parking just 30 feet away from the private entrance. Outdoor stairs lead up to the deck with a hot tub, grill and outdoor table and chairs. This deck looks out over the woods and faces the sunrise. The glass front door opens into high pine vaulted entrance area with hardwood floors. Here is the dining area, a well- equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a shower stall and separate bathtub. A large livingroom is in an adjoining room, with high ceilings, a large window, cozy and comfortable seating, TV and electric fire hearth. A desk and chair provide a work station. On the other side of the entrance area is a large bedroom. The ceilings are steep and high giving a sense of space and calm. Two large windows look out over the property. Wall to wall carpeting in the livingroom and bedroom provides both comfort and privacy in this second floor apartment. Stop at the first house you see (steep-roofed and red,) at the top of the drive. Park in front of "The Loft" parking sign by the large log. Follow the short path to the gate that says, "The Loft." Just go up the stairs to the deck and you've arrived! The spacious apartment is exclusively yours to enjoy. The Loft fire pit with fire ring, chairs and log table is in the woods on the other side of the drive. Feel free to get wood from the forest around. Feel free to walk past the other two cabins, Dappled Grey and Larkspur and explore the property. If you'd like a short hike, walk to the riding ring and go right and then go left to follow the gravel road on our 20 acres, which goes by other cabins and follows the ridge-line. This turns into a path in the woods and joins the gravel road (this is a full loop 1/2 mile loop around the property open to all our guests). Greg and I travel frequently and may not be on site when you visit. We do have a manager, Moriah Paris who is available by phone and text. Pets are welcome. We charge a one time fee for EACH pet that you bring with you. We do ask you to notify us if you are bringing more than one pet as we will send you the additional pet fee through Airbnb. Bring a crate to keep your pet contained at night. We do not allow pets on the beds! Please bring charcoal and lighter if you plan to use the grill. We do not provide wood for the campfire, but you are more than welcome to gather it from our woods around! Our horses live on our property April 1- October 1. The rest of the year they reside at a different property.
