Canal front house with private dock and fish house, just 15 minutes to the Gulf

Scalloping and fishing lovers will not want to miss this very cozy 3/2 house with private river access including a floating boat dock, and fish cleaning house. You only need to launch your boat one time during your stay! Located on a very peaceful and quite corner, this is the perfect place for anyone that enjoys boating, fishing, kayaking, scalloping, canoeing, or just relaxing by the water.

Very spacious living area with sliding glass doors that open to a large screened in porch facing the canal.

Sleeps up to 6 people. Maximum 4 adults and 2 children. Two Queen beds and bunk beds (bunks are maximum of 180 pounds each).
Two full bathrooms. One guest bathroom and one in the master bedroom.
Fully equipped kitchen. No dishwasher.
Large screened porch for relaxing.
All new furnishings.
Private deep-water canal access to Steinhatchee River.
Floating dock. You may keep your boat tied up for the duration of your stay.
Fish house with a cleaning station, sink, refrigerator, and freezer. You may clean fish and scallops, but please no scallop shells in the canal.
Plenty of parking, even for your boat trailer.

Please note this house is recently remodeled, but the structure is 50+ years old. This is not a "Hilton" hotel. It is a tastefully renovated and decorated 3/2 house on a private canal. If your expectation is for new construction then this is not the place for you.

Walking distance to many restaurants, and just minutes from marinas.

Great Scalloping Getaway
We absolutely loved staying here for our scalloping weekend. The boat dock was so convenient and made it so easy to go out each day. The home was exactly as the listing stated. It had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. We would definitely book again!

Great Little house & boat ramp!
Perfect house for a small group bringing their boat to scallop in Steinhatchee. The house is super cute. We only used the ramp at high tide, but had no problems launching and pulling our 24” boat out. Great food was just a golf cart ride away. Plenty of parking for our boat trailer and golf cart trailer too. Host answered all questions quickly! Great time!

We stayed for five days. The property was exactly as described and was a great place for a small family vacation to Steinhatchee. Property manager was helpful and easy to communicate with. We will be back next year for another scalloping trip.

Great Time
House was in perfect location to access the river, and has a boat ramp/dock which is very convenient with how busy the public ramps are, home was very nice and very easy to communicate with the homeowner. Home is close to many restaurants and easily walkable to many locations.

Great little spot just off the beaten path
This is a cozy little house in a surprisingly quiet spot just off the main road. Yet still in walking distance of a few of the local establishments. The house was very comfortable for my guests and I. The dock worked well for my boat and it was just a short ride out to the gulf. Any questions or needs I had, the owner responded immediately. I will definitely be looking to book again in the future.

We had a wonderful stay in Steinhatchee and we would come again. I would say there are a few things about the house that needs improvement. One suggestion would be the air flow to be improved . We needed a fan in the bedroom to help cool ourselves. The landlord said by the next visit there will definitely be fans in both bedrooms, which will be nice for future guests. I wouldn’t necessarily call the bunk bed room a private room. The house was clean and enjoyable. It was very nice having the cleaning station for all of the scallops since we limited out every day. The owners were gracious and very kind.

Did exactly what we needed
We were there for boating/fishing so the home served a great place to lay our head after fishing all day! The main part that was enjoyable was being able to leave our boat in the water at the dock and it had a chained fenced in area to close it up at night. We enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay here again.

Good location!
Satisfactory stay. Good location. We really enjoyed fishing on the canal in the evenings. There were 3 great restaurants within walking distance. The property and home did however seem to be a little run down and neglected. The freezer inside the house wreaked of rotten fish. And the rooms could have used ceiling fans. Messaged the owner with a WiFi question during our stay and he was very quick to respond. Overall decent stay.

Very run down needs work
House needs work some soft spots in floors thought we would fall through and porch roof almost caved in on us when it rained fish house was unusable as the refrigerator smellled really bad did have somebody come clean it but that really didn’t help screens on fish house need to be fixed so you are not eaten alive by bugs if you were to use it but overall a quiet stay

Need an in-between yes or no. The place is not bad especially for after the hurricane. Master bath did not drain very good. Little over half way through the AC quit cooling. Took some time to get someone out to make repairs. Did have to clean up the fish cleaning sinks. Not really used to having to sweep and mop plus take the trash to the dump, but oh well. Owner very responsive to email and text so overall not bad
