“Gorgeous peaceful retreat! Booked a last minute stay for my family of four, and could not have been more pleased. Everything was clean, comfortable, and the setting was beautiful. From morning coffee on the deck to stargazing it was as perfect. John’s welcome packet has great tips for nearby restaurants and sites that we enjoyed, and lots of helpful info. Would go back in a heartbeat. ”

“We had such a wonderful time at this gorgeous house! It was clean, comfortable, spacious and very relaxing. Our group had kids and adults of all ages and everyone had a fantastic time. The brewery next door is an added bonus, and we didn’t have any issues with noise or crowds. We will definitely stay here again.”

“Had a wonderful stay at the Walden. Found the cabin to be neat and clean. Check in process was simple with lock box and code provided just prior to arrival. The location feels secluded although there are neighbors you can’t see them and rarely hear them. The private spot on the river is perfect for fishing, floating and wading. Can’t wait to go back. ”

“We really enjoyed our stay. Our visit was during some extremely hot weather and the house stayed nice and cool despite the heat outside. The bed was comfortable, we really enjoyed the movie theater seat style couch and the kitchen was equipped with enough dishes, pots etc.The views from the deck were so beautiful - better than some of the views at the national park! “Wonderful, clean, modern and I had no idea that there was a small valley between two mountain ridges, the views were amazing… mountains on both sides! 25 minutes from Shenandoah River Outfitters and 10 minutes from hiking. We spent most of the time in the screened in porch and then into the hot tub. We could see every star! Super clean and comfortable, we had a great time relaxing and tubing on the Shenandoah River. We will be back!”
