Stayed here again and have prebooked for the next 2 weeks. As a solo.female who travels up to Scotland every week i found hillhead farm leys perfect for me. My favourite out of all the places i have stayed in Scotland. Keeping my eyes open for future available dates .

I travel to Scotland each week and found hillhead the perfect place for me to stay. Excellent rooms. Comfy Clean the owners are friendly and welcoming. I hwve started to book in advance as this is my favourite place to stay in Scotland while working up there .highly recommended

Large, bright airy room, very clean, comfy bed. Nice views from our top floor room. The pillows were very hard and the duvet just covered the top of the bed. The shower was dangerous, ice cold then scalding hot.

No farm.
Was very hard to find. No view of, or access to, a farm so name is a bit misleading. Part of a very tight compound of little buildings separated by high fences. Nice manager/owner.

Fantastic place but not for work
Everything about my stay was fabulous except for one important thing: the WiFi was horrible. I was desperately trying to get some work done and, alas, it was impossible. The bed was fabulous for my aching back and check in and out was a breeze. The desk was also wonderful....I just couldn't access the Internet.

Haven in a busy world.

Perfect place to stay!
This was our 3rd stay at Hillhead Farm Lets, and we would go back tomorrow. Alistair and Elaine, are so friendly and accommodating and the room was spotless. Cleaned and fresh towels every day. Beautiful location too, which is really central to local amenities.

I wasn't sure what to expect but i was delighted. Clean, roomy and a Brewer's Fayre restaurant at the end of the short lane. All in all - recommended

Good value stopover
Last minute stopover. Room was basic but very clean and comfortable. Unfortunately lack of soundproofing meant that we were kept up for a lot of the night by inconsiderate guests in another room.

Self check in. A motel-like room with ensuite bathroom. Very neat and clean with tea, coffee and cookies supplied. No refrigerator. Attractive garden beds. Quiet country area on outskirts of Stirling.

We were only here for one night but it met our needs as a stopping place before departing from Edinburgh which took about 40 minutes in rush hour traffic. Great place to eat within walking distance. I would recommend.

Nice room outside stirling. Saw horses around in the morning. 1 single bed and 1 double. Coffee and tea making facilities. Cheap cloth wardrobe. Expensive for what was offered. May be better in summer. Not much around the area. We went to the brewers fayre opposite, terrible service. Waited for ages to be seated and then waiters just walked past or cleaning the table beside us without even offering a drink. After 30 min of no one attending to us we left. I would not recommend the restaurant in the owners book due to poor service and will make stay less pleasant.

Convenient for attractions such as the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies the room is basic the shower is no use it seems to either be red hot or freezing or not working it seems if you are using it and someone else in the buildings use water the pressure drops and you get scolding water then it cuts out there was a slight smell of sewage from the bathroom.

The only letdown for this place was the shower, no wash cloth, the water pressure and the temperature kept changing. The location is great, and the staff excellent and the room really clean.

This is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location, close to Stirling Castle and The Battle of Bannockburn experience. The owner was helpful and kind. No breakfast offer, but a good breakfast buffet nearby.
