We had a wonderful stay at Jim and Laura’s place for our family Thanksgiving — truly a five-star experience. The home was spotless and beautifully maintained, and all the thoughtful touches made it feel warm and welcoming. Jim and Laura clearly care about their guests, and their attention to detail made our stay exceptionally comfortable. Highly recommend!

Das Fritz Weinhaus is an outstanding property, a nice older home that has been maintained well and/or updated nicely. Jim and Laura are amongst the best hosts we have encountered, with many small touches around the home to make our experience easier. We were joined by our three legged, 17 yr old Shih Tzu Hobbes who could not get enough of the nice weather and excellent back yard for dogs. I highly recommend this property, we will stay again as we return to Hill Country to enjoy the many local wineries.

Fredericksburg Get Away

We have stayed at this property many times in the past & it never disappoints! Perfect, quiet, yet convenient location for meeting up with friends. Home is well equipped & always spotless! Great Oktoberfest Get-Away

This property always delights! The house is immaculate, well-equipped, as pictured with many great features! The location is perfect - close enough to Fredericksburg to be an easy drive, convenient to many attractions, yet quiet & out in the country. Jim & Laura are the perfect hosts - supplying anything you could need from a well-stocked snack basket to a frig with breakfast items, to bottled water, to all kinds of coffee & tea, to wine and hand-decorated cookies! It is always a pleasure to stay here - one of our favorites, we always return.

Talk about an amazing stay! Very comfortable and personable experience! It was nice to be so close to the wineries and Fredericksburg where we spent most of the day and relaxed outside at the house in the evenings! Another awesome trip to the hill country

We had an amazing time at Das Fritz. The home was very spacious and we loved the wine theme decorations. Easily 25-30 wineries within a 5-15 min drive from the location which is fabulous. We really enjoyed evening time out on the patio to wind down for the night. Quiet and serene while listing to the birds sipping on wine before we called it a night. We highly recommend this location not only for the amazing home but the close proximity to many of the great wineries in the area. Can't wait to visit Das Fritz again in the future!

Amazing Hill Country Home! Highly Recommend!

This was our 3rd booking at Das Fritz Weinhaus and, as always, this home delivered at the highest levels! There are so many great things to say about this property it is difficult to find a place to start. For us, the vacation rental experience always begins with communication from the host. In that regard, Jim is simply amazing. He made sure we knew what to expect, how to access the home and what was happening in the area. The virtual concierge on the wall when we checked in was awesome! It helped us check in, gave us tips about the property and the area, provided info regarding the home and allowed us to check out seamlessly. We were super impressed. To have that many wineries in such a close proximity to where we stayed was epic! Actually, some of the best wineries in the Texas Hill Country are less than 10 minutes away. On top of that, the home is absolutely perfect. It is one of the cleanest, best set up properties we have ever enjoyed. That's why this was trip number 3 for us. If you are looking for a great home, a great value and a great experience, Das Fritz Weinhaus falls under the "Highly, Highly Recommend Category". There were probably places that were a bet less money but in the end, you really do get what you pay for. Thanks Jim! We can't wait for trip number 4 to spend time in the Texas Hill Country and at your home...

Wonderful stay to ring in the New Year and excellent hosts!

We couldn't have felt more welcome and ready to ring in the New Year with the party favors and champagne they left for us! The Fritz's have left nothing to want for and we had everything we needed to cook, relax and enjoy the area. Our only hesitance with giving the location a 5 out of 5 was how close the home is to 290 and the traffic noise. Otherwise, the home is perfectly located to visit Johnson City, Luckenbach, Fredericksburg, etc. Overall, a wonderful home, excellent hosts and a great place to visit.

Home away from Home!

What a great property! Stocked with everything you could possibly need. Comfortable beds, cute patio complete with grill and firepit, office area, comfortable living area and a super organized kitchen. We really enjoyed our stay! It's in a great location close to our favorite wineries. We really appreciated the personal touches and super communication from the owners.

Excellent Stay!

Jim and Laura were amazing and very hospitable. The house was immaculate, well equipped, and a great location. The back yard was perfect for grilling and sitting by a fire. The kiosk was an added bonus with all the information you need to find out how to work things in the house, where to eat, or where to go. Overall I would highly recommend staying here. We can't wait to return!

Repeat Stay at Our Favorite Vrbo Get-Away

Our group of 3 couples always enjoy our stay at this home! The house is always immaculate and well equipped with everything you could need! These hosts always provide wine, snacks, breakfast items, plenty of paper goods (including more than a starter of TP) and toiletries. The hosts are very responsive to any needs that might arise and very accommodating with early check-in. They also have a great electronic concierge with helpful tips at the ready. A fantastic house in a great location!

Wonderful place to stay with friends and family. The location is perfect for wine vineyards location and close to other beautiful towns like Fredericksburg, Albert, Luckenbach....Texas. Terrific HQ for TX Wine Country

The owners of this home could not have been more accommodating and communicative. The location is perfect to tour wineries, go to an event at Bankesrsmith and into Fredricksburg. The house was extremely well stocked and welcoming. Enjoyed the stay!
