“Very dim lighting in bathroom , nonabsorbent towels, not "premium" bedding as advertised. Help from bellman was not available to carry luggage up and down lobby stairs. Inattentive lobby bartender”

“Staff was amazing! Can park there to get on cruise ship. Unfortunately no restaurant or bar in hotel but a lot of options very close by. Also had breakfast included in the morning and it was pretty good for free hotel breakfast.”

“This time we stayed in the Cottage. It was a separate unit behind the main house. Easy to enter using the code I was emailed. The cottage was spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was large with a claw foot tub and a wraparound shower curtain. The room A/C was excellent. It was very comfortable all day and night. The ceiling fan was whisper quiet. The cottage included a kitchen area with a half-size refrigerator/freezer, counter top, cabinets, tableware, microwave, and a table.……

“The room was clean and very large. Bed was comfy and there were black out shades that were amazing. Balcony had a view of the ocean although there were several powerlines in that view. We still Conveniently located to Pleasure Pier. The only issues we had was that parking was scarce and they are stingy with the towels. We had 2 towels and 1 hand towel for our visit with no washcloths.”

“My husband and I loved our stay at the Carr Mansion! This historical home was charming, clean, and comfortable. Joellyn was a fabulous host; she served delicious breakfast and offered several tips/ recommendations for activities around the island. The location of the home is near to several other historical landmarks/ museums, the Strand, and the Seawall. We highly recommend booking a stay at the Carr Mansion for a relaxing trip with a home-like feel that typical hotels just can’t match. We will……

“Very friendly staff, property beautifully kept and decorated. Enjoyed our stay and plan to definitely return.”

“The hallways were hot and muggy. They had large floor fans running in each hallway but that didn’t help much. The elevator was down for a bit. One cart to carry luggage in the whole place which was never available. Our room smelled extremely musty almost like cat pee. Best thing about the breakfast was the lady who was working that area, she was amazing and deserves a raise. Employees were all very nice and helpful. Food was not good at all. Best part of this hotel is location since it is right……
