「Beautiful area but was let down on the cleanliness and facilities. The white bedding had brown stains all over and cob webs in the bath room. On multiple websites it stated their was a spa for guest use, despite this not being the case. The info in our room also stated breakfast basket apon arrival as well as spa for guest to use, neither which were true. Little things can make a big impact, for example, it would have been nice when we came to our room after a hot day for the air con to be on,...

「Clean room and very quiet at night so good nights sleep. Breakfast very good. Dog friendly and lots of locals to play with, including the odd sheep. Hosts couldn't be nicer. Would definitely consider another stay.」

「Beautiful little cottage on stunning property. A couple of steps up to each one and the property is steep for anyone with mobility challenges like me but for my level of needs I made it work. I’m not sure if the spa would have been accessible as I didn’t make it up that high but I suspect it had a few more steps which may not have been achievable for myself. It was a beautiful spot and I’d love to stay there again! 」

「In summary - quiet, rural, friendly. Beautifully decorated, comfy and warm room part of, but separate from, the main house. Lots of well behaved dogs, chooks, guinea fowl, cats to share the stay with. Bonus was the cooked breakfast! Axedale is on the rail bike trail and Bendigo has so much to offer!」

「the property is in transition (on the day) to a new owner - the room didn't have a tv, a fridge, a table, a chair to sit comfortably or coffee - the toilet seat was broken - when we arrived it was if we were unexpected - certainly not what we expected for $300 - don't submit this review please as the new owners need time to get things sorted」
