"The house was exactly as shown in the photos. The location was very convenient, especially since the island is not very large. Staying here for our entire 5-day trip made everything comfortable and easy, as we could travel to different places around the island without any problem. "Property listing is not at all accurate including the address. When you put the address on GPS, it takes you to a different apartment property. We had to call the agent because the code did not work but got lucky that the cleaning crew appeared at the wrong address and took us to the right place. Amenities listed are not in the apartment. There is no microwave or dishwasher. We had a week long stay and had specifically booked this place for its amenities. So it was a huge inconvenience!...

"This is a great place to stay. Wonderful location -- easy walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Small grocery store about 100m away! House was immaculately clean. Pictures online are very accurate -- my experience has often been that the pictures are much nicer than the property; this is not the case here at all. "This Torshawn house was perfect! It definitely made our visit to the Faroe Islands all worth it. From great parking, comfortable amenities, walkable locations to excellent restaurants, groceries, cafes, the best part was the view from our top bedroom window. On a bright day, one sees colorful houses and buildings on the hilly landscape, but on dark rainy nights with small lights of the city, one can only imagine the VanGogh's Starry Night."

"I had a very pleasant few days in The Bird. Room was small and basic but comfortably and clean. The kitchen and dinning room are as good as you’ll get. Also a lounge for relaxing, which is great if you don’t want to leave at 1000. The only issue is they need a better system for food in the fridge as it’s full of stuff that people have left."

"A great little hotel right near the waterfront. The staff was so helpful finding fun things to do, and everything else. The breakfast was great…prepared by the restaurant downstairs, which helps a lot in getting going for the day early. Ask for a room overlooking waterfront, with a large balcony. It really makes a difference. Absolutely would star here again."

"This is a self-service guest house so do not expect hotel-level services. There is no staff on site. But it is an economical alternative to Torshavn's expensive hotels. Its location is unbeatable. During my stay all the other guests were respectful and quiet so there were no problems. The bathrooms are shared but proved to not be a problem. Different folks had different schedules so there was never an issue of accessing a bathroom. The hotels.com listing mentions parking. This is not correct. There is no dedicated parking. But there are a couple of public lots of only a modest walk away where you can park 23 out of 24 hours without moving your car. The public spaces in the immediate vicinity are free but restricted to 30 minutes or 2 hours...works well enough to unload your luggage but then you need to move your car to one of the longer term lots. The kitchenette is adequate. There is a shared fridge with a dedicate modest-sized space for each room, but no freezer. There are two food stores within 5 minutes' walk."
