Suffern Hotel with Pool

"Staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Yonkers was comfortable. The property looked clean and reception staff was very helpful. There was a foul smell in the hallway near my room. When I reported it, they took care of it immediately. The room was inviting, however there is a sign in the bathroom that says they only clean every other day. I stayed 3 nights; and no one ever cleaned my room. The shower appeared clean, but there was buildup on the caulking that came off after I had a shower. It appears as if the housekeeping staff may have cut corners when they cleaned. The bed was comfortable. Having a mini-fridge and microwave in the room is a convenience. The complementary breakfast was good. I was surprised that they served scrambled eggs, sausage and even freshly made waffles in addition to a continental breakfast. Overall, my stay was comfortable, but housekeeping needs a little improvement."

"Easy free parking. This hotel is old and m need of a modernization. My room was missing furniture and the tv was small, the breakfast was a joke. However, you get what you pay for."

"Hotel and room was clean. Breakfast was decent, I ate a lot. Staff was cordial and pleasant. Outside of hotel was a different story. Parking lot was safe but dirty. Some of the locals near were questionable. I would stay again though!"

"We stayed on the 3rd floor for 2 nights. Room was spacious but the bathroom was very small. Sink was outside the bathroom, which theoretically looks ok but practically not a good idea as it was right in front of the bed. Toilet was installed in such a way that one couldn’t avoid touching it when entering the bathroom. The breakfast area was small and very crowded with not enough staff available at that busy time. Even tough smoking was strictly prohibited; you could smell that someone was smoking something with very strong, nasty smell. The hotel establishment certainly needs to assign more staff and focus on the customer service during busy hours."

"Room was clean, beds were uncomfortable and pillows were flat, we also asked housekeeping for extra towels and didn’t get any as requested, had to pay for breakfast , parking was easy and felt safe , coffee in lobby was nice, pool was very cold, it was nice to have snacks for purchase, the hotel was near a park which was great for kids and activities/ exercise, Fabian was very great and always checked in with us. "
