"We were visiting Muscat for a week and we stayed here becuse it is central. That said, Muscat is spread out so any sightseeing stay in the citywill need taxis.
This hotel was almost perfect. The chargeable buffets for breakfast and dinner had an outstanding variety of excellent food. The staff were always friendly and efficient. The beds were extremely comfortable. The pool was large and not busy.
The only down side was the lack of local amenities. We did not find any restaurants...

"Mutrah central location is great for the touristic activities. For the remote Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, the reception was helpful in arranging a taxi. As the other review wrote, basement bar noise continued around 4 a.m. though I was on the 4th floor and the noise might have been bearable somehow. The reception seemed not familiar to the Expedia pre-payment arrangement. So, you may be better to have your Expedia booking confirmation handy. Hot shower needed more than 5 minutes to come out. "Believe all the reviews. For just a little more money you will get a proper hotel room, I would not call this place a hotel. No Wi-Fi, no hot water. The toilet didn’t have a toilet seat and the sink faucet was falling off the wall. Music till 2/3am on both nights I stayed there. This place will be the worst standard I base the rest of my life on.
