One of the Best!

Our family has stayed all over the island and the west is for sure the best. 5 G's makes it even better. The house is so fun; we love the game room with the arcade set up. The little book nook is a favorite spot for puzzle building. Having the sunroom right there off the living room for littles to pile in to is a plus. Lastly, the crows nest is a fav with our preteens to escape to for reading. My favorite, is the deck(s) and the layout is perfect. All of the outdoor space is comfortable in regards to sun exposure and furniture. The front porches and back decks were almost in constant use. Love this house! We are soooo excited to come back!

Family Beach Vacation

Great time with our family.Challenging start with a tropical storm coming on the fist day of trip. Gail had someone clean the pool within a couple days, but dealt with quite a bit of sand covering back porches and first level that we cleaned up ourselves. Tough situation but we would stay there again.

Blessed Family Time

Our family enjoyed every minutes of our time at this special beach home last week. From the moment we stepped inside the doorway we were amazed by the beautiful space that Gail and her family share with others. The beds and sofas were so comfortable - the kitchen very well equipped - there was nothing lacking! And the beach itself - a perfect tranquil piece of heaven!

Christmas at the Beach

Our family enjoyed Christmas together at this beautiful property. It was cold but the views were stunning both morning and night! There was plenty of room to spread out and find one’s own space to rest and relax. When it was time to come together, the kitchen and living room areas were spacious and welcoming. We will definitely visit this special location again!

Excellent after Hurricane Florence

We stayed at the house ten days after Hurricane Florence hit Ocean Isle and The house and beach are in excellent condition. The house is comfortable and the views are stunning. The owner was very communicative and accommodating. We were at the same section of the beach for Labor Day weekend and we thought maybe a few more sandbags at the west end were exposed after the hurricane, but otherwise it all looked the same. Such a relief! Bring your beach chairs.

A little piece of paradise!

Location! Location! Location! This house is was awesome in hosting our large family. It provided plenty of space for us to spend time together, yet not feel crowded. The outdoor upper level deck was a favorite as the trade winds kept us cool in the evenings. The beach at low tide is everything you could dream of with tons of space and a fraction of the people the rest of the island hosted. Already booked for the same time next year! Gail was super communicative and very accommodating. I would not look anywhere else as this location is unique and offers more than any new construction home can offer. Thank you Gail for giving us this opportunity to stay at your home!

Family vacation

This house is everything as listed and so much more. The upkeep and furnishings are excellent. The location, both the Beach and Sound are spectacular. Being a gated community gives you the feeling that you have your own private beach. The one thing we didn't expect, but loved, were the tides. At some times of the day, you had a normal beautiful beach. At low tide, the beach grew by over 100 yards with small pools and inlets to explore. Our kids loved exploring them. If into fishing, at tide change it was excellent by the edge of and into the Sound. Then there is the perfect swimming pool where we all spent equal time with the beach. Just an amazing overall stay in a beautiful house in an amazing location which we will remember forever!

Best view on the beach!

Par-a-dice Is an amazing property. It is very well appointed and was the perfect home for our stay! We enjoyed sunrises on the amazing back decks (plural), so many places to take it all in. We also loved the gorgeous sunsets on the front deck. The high and low tides were so cool to watch because of our location. The pool was great in the afternoon, after a morning at the beach and they did have people come and test the water during our stay, so that was peace of mind. We had everything we needed for our in house meals in and plenty of seating for our large group. We rented linens from a local company and they were late getting there due to the busy holiday weekend, but were very friendly and professional. Highly recommend doing that for convenience. It is a special house in a special place and we will cherish the memories that were made.

Dream Come True

We have vacationed at OIB for decades. My BIL and I saw this house a several years ago and feel in love with the aesthetics. In the mean time, we have rented the house next door while trying to reserve 143 but could never get in for it stays booked. This year my dream came true for us to stay. It was everything I thought it might be. The main floor is so homey but spacious enough for our family of 21. The little side rooms and spaces were perfect for littles to watch tv or play while bigger kids built puzzles. The living room was open but divided for adults to play games while others sat to the side to watch. We enjoyed the third floor deck daily. I didn't think I would like the layout of the rooms (being on the second floor, and with the game room down there) but it proved to be just right for everyone for various reasons. Then of course the location; it's perfect. The West side is the Best side. Having access to the sound and beach front is truly premium. My only criticism is the kitchen needs a good cleaning and tending too. Pots and pans are in want, as well as utensils. Otherwise a perfect stay that we hope to repeat.

Not worth what we paid.

What could have been a glorious experience left us definitely looking for another place for our trip next year. While the owners was available to us when additional problems did occur, the lack of attention to what should have been simple checks prior to our stay clouded this rental. We understand that there was a storm a few days prior but for the thousands and thousands of dollars we were paying, you would think that they would have sent someone to do a final check before we arrived. We started by getting settled and finding dead bugs everywhere that we cleaned up. We then tried to see the million dollar view and couldn’t get past the dirt and filth on the windows. My husband spent 2 hours cleaning doors and windows before the rest of the family arrived. We paid extra to have the pool heated and one of the days there was no heat at all. The pool area itself was dirty with mulch and sand and 3 visits by the pool people did nothing for that. The second deck was a mess of turned over chairs and strewn pillows. Once again, all of these could have been avoided with a little cleaning beforehand. When I complained to the owner she went a cleaning crew but we had already completed the work and they still didn’t clean the deck!! The drawers and cabinets were full of crumbs and dirt. Puzzles available for us contained messed up pieces. The lights at the pool and along the walkway to the beach were all burned out. We had one light in the pool itself but no outdoor lights. All in all, it was dirty and just not up to par. They also need to spend some money updating as when we opened a window the entire thing fell to the ground. They had a little Florence water damage and the spackle was still all over the walls. My brother rented a larger and much nicer house on the beach with pool and hot tub the week prior for a thousand dollars less-we will go there next year.

From the tide pools, to the ocean waves, to the marsh area, this property is just beautiful. The pool was a great asset. The adults found a variety of golf courses near by. Kayaking was done in the marsh and the sunrises and sunsets from the decks were amazing. Thanks so much.

We had a great family vacation here. at low tide it was the perfect place for young kids and toddlers to play with a large beach area and shallow water for then to play in. The house was clean and as described. The pool was a great hit with everyone and the decks had great views.

LABOR DAY 2021

Overall we had a lovely vacation. The location is perfection and the house was spacious and had everything we needed. The bookshelves of kids books were so great and the little kids loved being able to pick from the library each night :) We had some initial issues with the key pad and the A/C upon arrival. However the management company and Gail were very responsive and both the issues were fixed. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.

Amazing house and location!

This house is as huge as it looks online. Plenty of space for everyone. Gail is wonderful to work with. She is very responsive, even on Thanksgiving day. The kids and adults both loved the direct beach access, the sound access and fishing and shell seeking at the inlet. We will definitely be back!

Amazing Location, Beautiful Views

This beautiful home accommodated multi-family group of 20 people very well. Oceanfront property allowed for easy access to the ocean as well as sound side within a private gated area. We were able to fish, paddle board and kayak everyday. The pool is so nice and well maintained throughout the week. The kitchen is well stocked, two refrigerators, two dishwashers, etc made it easy for us to prepare most all of our meals during the week. The many decks and open windows provided amazing views on the front and back of the home. Gail was super helpful prior to our arrival and shared lists of local favorites which we took advantage of throughout the week- thank you! We would highly recommend this home and look forward to coming back!

Fantastic location

This large home is in a fantastic location on a very private and picturesque section of beach at the end of Ocean Isle. The views are beautiful from every porch. Our kids really enjoyed fishing on the inlet side in front of the house and the pool was a big hit as well. The kitchen was very nice and well stocked. The rest of the interior would benefit from updates (mattresses, bathrooms, broken arcade game, etc). The owner was very responsive and easy to work with.
