Everything was perfect!
Except for the Stayz booking experience. I can't recommend booking anything via Stayz, now that I've learned they are part of VRBO, which is actually part of Expedia.
If anything goes wrong with the check-in process, you are at the hands of the Expedia team. I didn't receive any check-in details via Stayz email or app. There may have been a VRBO email filtered by my junk mail, but not to my knowledge.
So on check-in, I was unable to communicate with the host via the Stayz app. I was required to make 5 different phone calls to different customer service officers via Expedia. All could locate our booking. Some were unable or unwilling to help, others attempted to contact the hosts on our behalf unsuccessfully. On a separate call, my wife (who is very convincing) was able to obtain the host's name and phone number. Unfortunately they were unable for 3hrs delaying our check-in.
A final call was escalated twice (for me to have to repeat the story) and was made an offer to refund booking and book other similar accommodation via Expedia website. But it was the Noosa triathlon weekend...
Fortunately, we were eventually contacted by the hosts, who were lovely and the property lived up to the hype and reviews. House is architecturally designed pavillion style in amongst the melaleucas with plenty of fly screens for bug-free alfresco entertaining. Beautiful location in a complex that is great for families and groups. Recommend, not via Stayz.
