Good, old hotel
The hotel is well located. The staff are nice. Room service is adequate. However, towel provided at first night was worn. Lots of ants in kitchen area. Blood stain and water stain on pillow cases and bed sheet. No Shuttle bus from hotel to airport.

Swimming classes vs. comfort
The hotel is comfortable when taking the hotel room into account. Beds are fine, the room is clean (enough) and the bathroom is fine too. Service is average, the breakfast not too good. There are swimming classes for children in the pool throughout the day, which makes it loud/ screamy and little fun to chill at the pool. I would not book this place again.

Worn out old towels Hardly any water pressure in the shower No hand towels Two single beds joined together and sold as King bed ... Stained couch upholstery ... This hotel has seen better days. The only redeeming point is the breakfast, pool and the property grounds.

Following your concern, kindly to inform that we did purchase linen (including towel), however I am sorry if somehow we couldn't provide this during your stay. In regards to the water pressure, engineering team regularly implement the periodical maintenance tough once again, we were failed to show the proper result this time. Family trip back from Bali to Jakarta, we decided to stop by Surabaya. We believed that Novotel would offer high standard, well we were not so happy. First impression: lobby large and nice atmosphere. We booked a room with garden view, and believe or not the room view was a piece of flower and road... after dicussion with front desk officer, we were upgrade to swimming pool view. Well, a eeal garden view. Room are spartiat, no decoration and nothing more than the necessary: a little desk, a chair, and a bed. Breakfast: overcrowded place in time of pandemics... we made it fast...

Quiet oasis to relax during your stay in Surabaya
We were supposed to stay 2 days in Novotel Surabaya. We eventually extended for 2 more days... and now for a 5th night! Place is very quiet and is a kind of oasis in a bustling city. Pool is very nice. Staff has been very kind with our 7 years old daughter. Food is also good at fair price. Excellent quality for the price paid for night and breakfast. Highly recommended! ;-)

Resort in midst of busy city
We love this hotel. Always a nice staycation. A resort style pool n surrounding. The receptionist was friendly. It was a fast check in as well. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast choices were superb. On weekends it went on until 11 am. Downside is they only have 3 floor stories n no lifts because it was an older building. On the other hand, it is not too crowded. Nice for a gateway. Overall it was a superb stay.

空港の乗り継ぎで利用。空港からホテルまでは少し渋滞していたが、中心地の手前だったので渋滞は大分回避できた。価格もリーズナブルな割には朝食が充実していた。

Slechte service
Een nare verrassing bij aankomst: De door ons geboekte 4-persoonskamer (familiekamer) bleek slechts onderdak te bieden aan 2 personen. Er stond 1 bed voor 2 personen in de kamer en ondanks dat we een kamer voor 4 personen geboekt hadden werden we geacht OF bedden bij te boeken OF een andere kamer bij te boeken. Aangezien we laat aankwamen en we geen zin hadden een ander hotel op te zoeken maar besloten een kamer bij te boeken voor de kids. Management gaf niet thuis toen ik ze hierop heb aangesproken. Er werd dus ook geen enkele moeite gedaan om tot een redelijk alternatief te komen. Afgezien van deze (onaangename) verrassing verder wel een prima verblijf gehad. Kamer was redelijk netjes en de geboden faciliteiten zijn ok.

We had an excellent stay at Novotel in Surabaya for our recent Mount Bromo trip. It was just a night and the place which looked more like a resort bewitched me. Its family friendly with pools for all ages of children. We even tried our hands on in-hotel spa. Although my partner had a good one, my massaeur kept trying to chat me up and ask me personal questions. Other than this one glitch, i would recommend this place.

Hotel is Understaffed and rude F&B staff
I stayed for 5 nights and i regret it a lot. 1. There was no bell boy and doorman in the front gate to assist the guests. They only assisted with my luggage after i have done checking in which i declined. 2. The room was okay, but there is a lot of mosquitoes in the room. I couldn’t sleep properly at night. Should have mosquito repellent beforehand 3. The breakfast service was very lacking, the F&B staff were rude! The restaurant seemed very much understaffed. During peak hours, i barely got my seat. There were only 2-3 staff serving like 100 guests. So you can imagine the crowd and the mess. 4. F&B staff were reluctant to serve, and somewhat slow in service. I even had to eat with many soiled plates from previous guest’s still on my table. Yet, the staff did not care much about it. 5. We need to queue quite a long time just to order egg from the egg station, since there was only one cook that prepare for many guests. I think the management should really do something about this. I hardly see any manager in charge around to clear and make sure everything goes well. I can even see some guests are throwing complaints on the spot to the staff. During the peak holiday season, the management should know better about the staffing.
