Bad experience!Charge extra fee before you know it
If you don't want to be charged an extra fee without knowing it, stay away from this hotel! Very normal facility and not a big room. I don't think it's worth 4.5 stars. This hotel is very far away from the city center, which takes you at least 30-40 minutes. They charge you for the drinking water, which is usually FOR FREE in other hotels! I had a very bad experience in Mercure and never choose this brand again.

Advertised bar and resteraunt only open for breakfast and it wasn’t that nice , understaffed and under trained staff at front counter gave me the wrong room to start not what I booked only moved because I picked them up on it . I had a simple request of fresh milk just a small jug as longlife makes me ill couldn’t be met . In fact the young lady although trying hard and friendly at the reception appeared to not even know what I was asking for “what is mik ??? “ she said her English wasn’t that good . Mini bar nothing in it not stocked 1 bottle of wine after 1 packet of chips . Beautiful facility but presently very poorly run . It’s obvious that costs are being cut would hesitate to stay in another Mercure actually would rather pay more for better service .

Front desk service was great, parking was easy and convenient. Room furnishings were modern, but there was water damage on the roof on our room and mould growing in one of the corners. Bathroom also needs a serious clean.

I was expecting a shower cap that I can use but it wasn't supplied (I did ask but the lady who was fixing my room didn't have one and said she would get me one later but she never did - I guess she forgot). Maybe best to just supply one automatically - quite a basic requirement

Get staff, loved the king bed, so comfortable, great access to food shops and a great place to eat at the Bowls club next door. Hope they get the hot water sorted on 6th floor.

The Mecure is a little tired nowadays and it shows. The rooms are nice and a decent size but dining facilities are not up to scratch
