Very stylish boutique hotel which situated on the second floor or a bar & restaurant. However, when we first entered our room we found out the room wasn’t ready and it seemed like it had not been properly made up by the staff. We had to tell the hotel manager this issue and waited for another 15 to 20 minutes until they finally finished the room (We arrived around 4 or 5pm). Then, we found out the a/c system wasn’t working, we told the manager again and then he came with his boss, I think, their explanation was the system was set to "heat" in the master room so it could only has either heat or fan function. So I asked them to turn on the fan function for me for a better air circulation in the room(The window inside the room cannot be opened). However, still nothing happened after the fan function was turned on, they explained the system was already working and since it was a very quiet system that’s why we couldn’t hear anything. To be honest, both my gf and I worked in interior fitting jobs so we knew the system wasn’t working at all, theses guys were just trying to make excuses. Eventually, we had to borrow a standup fan to use, quite disappointing.

Clean room, clean bathroom. I used the shared bathroom option but overall quiet at times. Although the window is next to the street, I can hear the people and the traffic. Overall good experience for short term stays!

I arrived a bit early & my room was still being cleaned, however I was able to leave my suitcase in the room while I went out and about. The shared kitchen/lounge is excellent and I loved being able to make my own toast and coffee each morning. The room was excellent - comfy bed with great pillows and the shower was great! I’d definitely stay again.

The staff were very good and the room and en-suite were clean and the bed was comfortable. It would have been good if there were tea and coffee making facilities in the room, rather than just in the communal area. A couple of chairs in the room would also be good.

We loved our stay at the North Sydney Hotel. All of the staff we interacted with were fantastic, the room and bathrooms were exceptionally clean, and the communal guest lounge was a lovely place to relax. Getting there from Central Station was easy and fast - we took the metro to Victoria Cross station and from there it was an easy two-block walk (be sure to use the north exit of the station). There are also buses that run along the street if it is raining or you have luggage - the bus stops directly across from the hotel. Will definitely be staying again!

The staff were quite rude on arrival, we felt like we were being a nuisance by checking in. The hotel has lovely old charm and the shared bathroom and kitchen were a surprise, but it was okay. The room was clean and comfortable but the breakfast options were a bit disappointing. It felt a bit like a backpackers vibe.
