I suspect Basecamp was a good place to stay however, I had tried to cancel this booking because as it wouldn't complete the request for the room I contacted Basecamp told him I did not request this booking and a booking to La Quinta was done because it actually worked. The booking for Basecamp did not there's nothing wrong with this facility but hotels.com would not answer my questions, nor would they help me. This particular hotel was canceled because it was ordered and didn't work so another hotel was used. Unfortunately I did not get to try this place. I'm sure it's nice I never stayed here again thank you Hotel.com for having not so great customer service this time.

I found Basecamp Puyallup after I had reservation issues with another nearby hotel, and it was one of those happy accidents where a setback turned out for the best. The staff at Basecamp were accommodating and friendly. My room was newly renovated and exceptionally clean. The bed was very comfortable. The property is within walking distance from the Washington Fairgrounds and MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital. I'm a travel nurse and my initial plan was to stay in a hotel until I found an apartment, but I decided to stay the length of my contract at Basecamp as it was perfect for my needs..

Stayed 2 nights; Went thru 5 room cards as they seemed to either not work, or worked once. Room wasn't clean (dirty, dusty). Room was not made up / no fresh towels; had to ask for towels & coffee. Nice, friendly, accommodation reception staff - all very young!

The room wasn’t clean but the staff was nice and after not finding the ice bucket I went down and asked for one. The hard wood floor wasn’t mopped and had dirt everywhere. We slept fine but for $155 I wish it was a little more attention to cleanliness.

The property was old, but clean and looks ok. The bed was horrible. We couldn’t sleep hardly at all. The staff was fantastic though. Incredibly friendly and helpful. I give the staff 5*! If the bed hadn’t been so hard, I’d have given the place a 4 or 5*.

Excellent location to get to the Fair. Front desk was very helpful getting our family into their rooms with the varied arrival times. Rooms were good. The biggest problem was traffic noise. It's on a busy street to start with, but there seemed to be some racing or such going on as well. This lasted until at least 1am.

Room looked clean on the surface, but after 5 minutes walking barefoot on the floor, the soles of my feet were black. The half-inch gap around the door and thin windows provided no insulation from the loud noise of the street and freeway out fromt. Worst of all was getting awakened ar 5 am by the desk staff pounding on our door and shouting that our room was supposed to be vacant and we needed to leave immediately. Apparently. the person who checked us in had forgotten to mark our arrival in the computer so we were marked a no'-show. After three minutes of being shouted at and treated like an intruder, the woman made a curt apology and left. But after such a horrible experience, we couldn't get back to sleep. Being awakened at 5am is bad enough. but dealing with an angry, shouting staff member made it so much worse.

A remodeled motel, comfortable bed, hot water, convenient location to where I was going, and really great staff! We were going to a wedding and had to borrow the one iron on site but we were the first to use it, unfortunately there were no hangers in the room so we ironed right before going out. Decent stay

Door is too small for door frame - leaves large gap where cold weather and NOISE from outside traffic fills the room. Heard car engines all night. Plus there was no coffee maker in the room. False advertising - pretty damn annoying. Too bad as the place is cute and clean. Help at desk was very friendly and helpful. Very disappointing stay

The outside of the property needed some TLC. The rooms were nice , clean, and kept up. Property definitely needed an elevator to move luggage to the 3rd floor.

Parking lot is a little hard to access and there are few amenities. However, great and friendly service from the front desk with nearby gas stations and the mall to make up for it.

If you like cold showers, this is the place!
I arrived after a long trip and they failed to warn me the hot water was broken in the entire building. I took a cold shower on arrival and another cold shower I’m the morning. The staff was defensive and barely apologetic. It would have been decent to let me know upon booking that the hot water was not functioning.

My sincerest apologies. We had a technician work on our water heater and were under the impression that it was working correctly.
