We loved everything about this property! First of all communication with the owner was outstanding, thank you! The place was beyond outstanding. Spacious, two fireplaces, very clean, great location, close to the ski resorts, games to play and movies to watch, walking trail from the cabin, BBQ on the deck, and all the appliances you need just like you were at home. The owner even created a guest book that is a Bible for everything in the area, food, sking, etc... We will definitely rent here again. Our family had the BEST time.

Peaceful retreat
My family had a lovely time staying in this home. It is in a quiet, well kept neighborhood. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed to make ourselves at home including coffee maker and hot water kettle. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and extra towels were available in the linen closet. The furniture was comfortable and in great condition. Ample lighting and heat for the chilly evenings. We especially enjoyed lunch on the front deck and star gazing at night. There’s a trail up the forest right next to the house where we enjoyed east hikes each day. It was such a beautiful peaceful weekend at this house. Easy and short drive to the main road and the lake shore Perfectly situated away from all the crazy crowds that summer weekends in Tahoe can bring.

Perfection at Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe is a perfect place and this house makes it even better. We loved our stay. The location is ideal...at the end of a street right off of the main road near beautiful walking trails. The house has three bedrooms and two baths with comfortable beds and plenty of linens. The kitchen is well-stocked with everything we needed. It was clean and had plenty of paper goods, a TV in every room with a gas fireplace and propane bbq. The owners were easily accessible and very helpful. I don't know how it could be improved.

Wonderful Tahoe Home
This was the 2nd time we stayed at this home, and it sealed it for us. We will stay here every time we vacation at Lake Tahoe! The layout is great for privacy and communal living. The kitchen has everything so we cooked every night but one. The place is clean and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed sitting out on the deck. Thank you for offering such a nice place for us vacationers to feel at home.

That we had to park one in front of the other. The only thing that was uncomfortable was thT it was very hot in there with all the fans on . I don't know if it was hotter than normal causing it. But would still come back.

Beautiful and Peaceful
We had a wonderful time at Kitty’s house in Tahoe! It was perfect for our group of two families and was exactly as described. And Kitty was easy to communicate with and was very responsive to all of my questions. We hope to visit again soon!

Worst experience. You will be sharing the home with strangers
Not safe. You will be sharing the home with strangers. They will tell you other wise but the owner lies. The pictures and property is not the same. The owner has false pictures. They will threaten you with extra charges.

Please read my reviews. In twenty years no one else has said the pictures are fake and no one else has been confused about which cabin they rented. Just because people are living in a house next to you shouldn’t make you feel unsafe. The Guest Cabin is about as close to the Main Cabin as houses are in a subdivision. Davit rented the Main Cabin which is a Chalet. The final letter said “The Guest cabin is the one-story unit located in front of the driveway. The main cabin is on your left. The Guest Cabin is in front of the driveway and may be rented during your stay.” There’s a photo showing both cabins, and the Guest Cabin is mentioned in multiple places on the website. Davit’s group used both cabins. Both cabins have digital locks which have different codes. When my housekeeper arrived in the morning to turn on the heat and water for the next guests, she was surprised to find people in both cabins since only the Chalet was rented. She knocked on the Guest Cabin door and told them why she was there. They denied her access so she called me. I called their cell phone, and the landlines in both cabins and left messages. No one picked up so I called Vrbo for advice. The agent said to call again and that I should charge them for cleaning and the rent of one day since guests spent the night in a cabin they didn’t rent.

Another Great Tahoma Stay
This is at least the fifth time our family has stayed at this vacation home. It’s comfortable, has a well supplied kitchen, and is always clean. And the location is wonderful! It’s at the end of the road and is quite private, and right next to the forest with great hiking and sledding opportunities. We will be back.

A great stay!
A great location at the end of the street- convenient to the trail into the forest, very quiet, and lots of wildlife. We saw rabbits, a coyote, and 8 different bears! House was good and as indicated in the listing. The kitchen is completely outfitted and easy to cook in. Chairs both inside and on porch are comfortable- and plenty of chairs outside for our large group. And the porch is large enough to accommodate a crowd. I would wish for a king size bed, but the queens throughout were very comfortable. The bathroom in the master bedroom is quite small- just enough space for one person at a time. Downstairs bath is only slightly larger. However, there are lots of good quality linens. Though no house is perfect, this one certainly met our needs. We’re would definitely stay again. We loved our 3 weeks in Tahoe!

Good location but needs improvement
Pros: the cabin was spacious and had lots of kitchen ware. It was also not too far from the beach which was good and was located in a quiet area. Cons: the AC unit did not work which was unfortunate since it was hot during our stay. We had to use the fans but they made too much noise at night for sleeping. I left the housekeeper a voicemail message and sent a text message to the owner regarding the AC unit not working and didn't receive a response back during our stay. There was also roof construction going on which we weren't aware of which caused lots of noise & dust to sprinkle over us as the construction workers were hammering down the roof. The refrigerator was also not working properly, it would not keep our meat or drinks cold even at the coldest temperature setting so we had to use the top freezer part which barely kept cool. The phone connection was also very weak as the service there kept breaking up phone calls.

Beautiful Home - wonderful stay
The home was beautiful and the most equipped I have seen. A word of caution for pet owners - the neighborhood is plentiful with non leashed pets, so difficult to take your pet for a walk if they do not do well with other pets. Also, the outlets did not work in the kitchen, so a little inconvenience. We were surprised the hosts did not offer a small refund. Overall, beautifully equipped home and nice stay.

Paradise with everything we needed!
It is truly a lovely home, well furnished, comfortable with an amazing deck. I had read in reviews the kitchen was well stocked - it really was! Down to place mats and cloth napkins. The beds were comfortable. Black out curtains a nice touch. We had game night. I honestly wouldn't change a thing and sincerely hope we are able to visit once or twice a year! The highlight was bear sightings - the cutest mama and Baby bear we watched from the safety of the house. As an added bonus we are only 1.5 miles from Obexer's for launching the boat! 100% reccomend this home.

On the edge of existence, where wild meets society. We met the local bear that tried to get into our car. It left a paw print to remind us to keep the doors locked. The kitchen was our favorite part. Had everything you might need. Thanks Kitty for letting us use the home .

Location was exactly what we were looking for - spent a week bundled up my a fire and watching the snow fall on the trees. The home is very private with an entire forest to one side and plenty of space between other neighboring homes. We loved the details on the wooden doors around the home.

Wonderful Thanksgiving Getaway
This is the third time we’ve stayed at the West Lake Tahoe Chalet, and we are already talking plans to stay here again. This vacation home is clean, and has all you need for a comfortable vacation. We made our Thanksgiving meal in the lovely well appointed kitchen, and even though I brought a few tools/containers I needed for the feast, the kitchen contains just about everything needed. And one of our favorite things is that the vacation home is at the end of the road with hiking trails continuing through the forest. And it’s very quiet. We couldn’t ask for a nicer place.

The house was in immaculate condition and well stocked with all manner of dish and cookware. The house is at the end of a road where a lovely trail departs into the National Forest. Make sure to remove all food from cars, as the bears were active.

Wonderful for a winter getaway!
We booked this house for a long weekend with another couple and their son and we had the best time! It is located in a great area with so much to do nearby. We went to the sledding hill with our friend's son nearly everyday of our stay and we had so much fun sledding with him! There was a family staying in the smaller guesthouse for part of our stay and they told us that they had previously stayed in the bigger house as well as the guest house in the past over the years and that both rentals are just wonderful depending on your size/room needs. The house was very cozy and unique! We were provided manuals with all the necessary info for things to run smoothly in the house, things to do around the Lake Tahoe area, and instructions for departure. The outside garbage was jam-packed from previous renters when it was time to empty ours out of the house, but a quick call to Kitty for instructions on what to do in this scenario cleared that up for us! I would definitely come back and rent this house or even the smaller one in the future :)

We had a great time!
We love that it is on a cul de sac and is so quiet. Everything was great and we had a wonderful time. The refrigerator needs to be looked at though, as it is very hard to close. Our son in law said it's something about underneath the door. We would recommend this home to all friends and family. It is very conducive to having people over for dinner and drinks or to even stay a night or two. We were sorry to have to leave!!!

Great family vacation home
The cabin was perfect! We had 3 adult couples and the bedrooms/beds/bathrooms set up worked out great. The cabin is very well stocked with linens, dishes, hangers in the closets (YAY) and surprisingly baby items. We had our 6 month old grandson with us and forgot to bring any type of high chair and we're excited when we saw the cabin provided one. Arrival and departure instructions were very easy to follow and the owner responded to emails in a timely manner.

Wonderful location, heaven at Lake Tahoe!
One of the few (maybe the only) properties that mirror the description at HomeAway. Clean, well organized rental. Everything was in working order. The kitchen had everything needed. We stayed a month and our only issue was that we couldn’t initially get connected to the internet. The issue was resolved immediately!

Great home in a perfect location!
This home has all the amenities you will need from cooking to sleeping to just lounging around after a full day of skiing. Plenty of room for all and nicely heated. The house is at the end of the street so it is quiet and peaceful and the neighbors are great too! Homewood is literally 5 minutes down the road and only about 20 minutes to Squaw.

This Chalet was exactly a perfect place for our post Christmas vacation.
This property was exactly what was advertised online. It was spacious, very clean, very comfortable, and had terrific instructions on the details of the chalet as well as grocery shopping and restaurants nearby. We loved having the snow; this property is at the end of the street, so there were automatic hills for sledding (sleds were on the front porch waiting for us) and outdoors for hiking. The street is quiet. The beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen had everything you would need including high end pots, dishes, and utensils. We enjoyed the gas fire in the dining area and the wood burning fireplace in the family room. My family consists of my husband, three adult sons, one junior high son, and myself. Part of our vacation after snowmobiling was to watch the Alabama game. We all had comfortable seating, great t.v. (which was easy to operate), and a home cooked meal! You couldn't ask for anything more. We would love to stay here again if our travels bring us back to California.

We Had A Great Time!
The "cabin" is more like a house. Plenty of space for everyone. Very well decorated and outfitted with plenty of linens, kitchen supplies, deck furniture, etc. Another plus...a TV in the living room and one in every bedroom (and even the loft!) It's at the end of a cul de sac, so is very quiet and peaceful. Our 11 days there went too fast! We would definitely stay there again.

Spacious, clean and comfortable. :)
Loved our visit. The home was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped. The germaphobe in me appreciated the little touches such as a fresh, still in a package kitchen sponge. Beds and furniture were comfortable and we really enjoyed eating dinner at the patio set on the deck.
