Dear Readers of my comments:
I want to start off by saying the scores given only reflect a broad stroke and my humble opinion. I don’t want fellow travelers to be given a sense of false illusions.
This hotel has a fantastic location. The staff tries hard to accommodate but the areas they cannot change are as follows:
1. Hotel has only one elevator and can be a source of delays.
2. The hotel has no workout gym but it does have a fantastic park across the street.
3. Room noise. Certain rooms have a inherent problem stemming from the central air conditioner. There is a dripping water sound coming from the ceiling that cannot be eliminated unless you turn off the AC. However then you will suffer the Taiwan humidity. So it’s either the Chinese water torture or the unbearable humidity from turning off the AC. So you pick your poison. Here is the trick ... pick a room that is on the left side of the corridor and not a room on the right side of the hallway.
Breakfast was adequate but nothing to write home about. Scarce variety of fruits, only three to pick from. Orange, kiwi, and watermelon. Congee with only a few side dishes like pork strand and peanuts. And some American staples like eggs but not bacon. They do have toast.
If the rates are low I think this place is worth a try but if you have to pay over 60.00 USD I would try other options.
Thank you for reading my comments.
