"We (family of 3 adults) really enjoyed staying amongst the rice fields in this very clean, well set up apartment. The remote check-in instructions were clear and we were able to follow them easily. The bedroom downstairs and the living areas were well designed and comfortable. Loved the decor on the main level which made this place feel cosy and unique. Top Takinoue Hotel Reviews

Sounkyo Choyotei

10/10 Excellent

"Nice hotel very close to the Mount Akadake cable car. Location is gorgeous, in the Sounkyo gorge area. The onsens look out onto the mountains and offer a spectacular view. The hotel itself is nice - albeit a bit tired and old. Could do with some modernisation - but helpful and friendly staff and gorgeous location make up for it."

We did not use the upstairs futon sleeping area because not even a child could stand up (we are all 170cm+) Used the shared laundry and found it very clean and functional. Would definitely stay again."
