We got a bungalow (lower standard than double room (DB) – bungalow had no hot water, no proper light in the bathroom, no water-pressure in the WC, basic room-equipment), instead of what we paid for - a DB! Expedia basically promised & charged us for a DB, but the facility simply denied to adhere to the contract. Expedia page showed 3 more rooms available, but the facility claimed there were none. We should approach them next morning at 11:30 am, as then one DB will become available. We were also promised a cheaper DB, as a ‘compensation’. This though turned out to be bullying/false-offer. Next day, at 11:30 am. were presented with another false story. We were told that the family who was supposed to check-out of the DB has neither paid, nor has extended their stay & now has suddenly disappeared. As their belongings are still in the room, we should wait a bit. We patiently waited–Until 7 pm!!!!! We inquired around 4-5 times about the status & were given the same answer. Late afternoon, we were even told that the facility will remove the belongings of the family out of the room & give us the room. But if we paid more, we could get another DB. Around 7 pm the ‘missing’ family returned & said they had already informed facility in the morning about extension of their stay & was approved. The worst part was, staff was not surprised to see the family arrive, neither complained about them “disappearing”. The facility was simply lying to us in the hope of getting more money.
