  • On 14 April 2016, a massive earthquake (magnitude 6.2) struck Kumamoto prefecture and damaged numerous structures of the Kumamoto Castle complex including the main castle. Routes and pathways were still open and available for visitors. During our visit, efforts for reconstruction of Kumamoto castle were under way as can be seen in the background of this photo. The Uto Yagura turret (foreground), on the other hand, survived the quake and remains intact.

宿泊の部屋数が10室ほどなので、大浴場の混雑も無くゆっくりと浸かる事が出来ました。 夕食朝食共に美味しく頂きました。 夕食は部屋食でした。スタッフが少ないのか、提供がゆっくりでした。

좋은 료칸

한적하고 조용히 쉴 수 있는 곳. 직원분들 친절하고 방도 넓고 건물이 상당히 이쁨. 정말 힐링 할 수 있는 좋은 숙소임.

庭園造景很美，服務態度好

因為車子壞掉將近晚上九點才到，忘了先告知飯店人員，很擔心會無法辦入住手續，所幸工作人員態度很好，也有人幫忙推行李至客房。飯店設施看起來雖老舊，但房間很大很舒適，庭園造景不錯，晚上打燈也很美，早餐很豐盛。但離新玉名車站有段距離，所以自駕比較方便，整體來說很推薦

让人惊喜的温泉酒店

不得不给这家温泉酒店五星好评，不只是它作为我们旅行入住的第一家温泉酒店，即使全部旅行结束，比较起来也是最好的。酒店提供到JR站的免费接送，提前用英语发邮件沟通很顺畅，告知到达时间，就会有司机举着酒店牌子来车站接。五分钟左右，到酒店，入口有个熊本熊图案，孩子们顿时很兴奋。房间很日式，环境极好，温泉旁边有个后花园，大家立刻换上衣服去照相，泡温泉。不论室内温泉还是露天风吕，都是很舒服的，池子不小。餐食很丰富，地道的日式套餐。吃完饭，出门散散步，发现后山还有几家规模更大的温泉酒店，继续往前走，发现路边有一片灯光，走过去一看，是路旁的天然足汤，如果走累了，脱下鞋，享受一下天然温泉，泡泡脚，多么惬意。不少学生都在那里有说有笑的泡着，好不自在。这种感觉是我们不曾有的。第二天早饭以后，酒店又把我们送回火车站。必须提到一个体现酒店细致服务的细节：接送客人的面包车上，配备了一个小凳，供客人们上下车踩踏用。看到这个凳子，我们不由感叹：细节决定成败……

This ryokan is super cool and awesome. From staff services to view of its scenary, you really cannot complain much. I have to mention their backyard (garden) and outdoor onsen, they are my highlights. Highly recommended

Nice staff. So-so food.

The staff were very helpful and nice. The dinner was so-so. Serving pasta (spaghetti bolognese with a slice of ham) is something beyond my imagination. The breakfast is standard simple Japanese style breakfast. The garden by the side of the restaurant was very well taken care of the staff.
