"An absolute dream of a ryokan experience. The area of Arima was a perfect place to stay in a traditional Japanese onsen/ryokan. The staff were extremely helpful and spoke English very well. The breakfast we paid for was worth the extra amount. I wish we could have stayed longer!"

"Everything from picking us up at the train station to the warm welcome, the beautiful room and peaceful grounds, the gorgeous and thoughtfully prepared meals, and room amenities made this visit tremendous! It was quiet, romantic and perfect in every way. This was our second time visiting and Id still go back if I ever went to Japan again."

"Great value if you need to stay in this area. The rooms are decent size, clean, no bad odor. The view from the 10th floor was pretty nice. Public bath was very nice. Breakfast buffet was included and had a good selection that was different on both days I used it. The restaurant was a bit hard to use at dinner because i was supposed to use a QR code but it just wasn't working on my phone but the server took my order manually. Staff was always friendly. Would definitely stay again if I ever come to this area."

"What a great place... Everything was great! As a ryokan, the room was Japanese style, no shoes. The staff was not very conversant in English...enough to get by... and it could NOT have been better. The onsens were fantastic, eating in our yakatas a true experience. At dinner, the staff knew about our allergies and dislikes. The unbelievably wonderful waitress from Vietnam (I foolishly didn't get her name.) assured us at the beginning of our multi course meal that she and they would take care of us and that we had nothing to worry about. I LOVE THE GRAND HOTEL!"

"Pretty impressed with their thoughtfulness and excellent service! Deposited my luggage with them before check in so I could go sightseeing. When I came back to check in, they told me they had already transported my luggage to my room! In addition, they offered me a hot towel and a choice of free welcome drink (you can choose from beer to soft drink or a snack). The breakfast is wonderful too! Piping hot miso soup based hotpot served with dishes made from local ingredients. Only drawback is it is a 10 min walk from Toyooka JR Station."
