Scenic
Large house with nice views. Nights are incredibly quiet and wonderful star-gazing when the skies are clear. As mentioned in other reviews, only one bathroom has a shower and this would be unfortunate if there were more than one couple staying. The kitchen is well stocked with pots/pans etc albeit well used. We enjoyed our visit and appreciated the quick response from the host when we required some assistance with a water problem. One suggestion would be to have hand towels provided in the bathrooms.

Country Living at its very best!!!
We stayed at La Bonne Vie for our daughter’s wedding. From the moment we drove into the driveway we felt like our weekend was going to be delightful. The house has expansive views over the neighbouring mountains and is very quiet and picturesque. The house itself is beautiful with everything you can think of for entertaining etc at your fingertips. The hosts were very prompt to answer all our queries. This is a very generous stay to say the least.

Gorgeous house!
We loved our week at La Bonne Vie. What a view! The house was perfect for us and felt very comfortable and spacious. We had fun at local places like the Gorge swimming hole and Lake Moogerah. The wildlife was so lovely, with plenty of pretty-faced wallabies, a cute green tree frog that visited the front verandah each night and we even saw a koala and turtles at Lake Moogerah. Overall a relaxing country getaway. Only one weird thing, which obviously can’t be helped but the cicadas in the tree outside are LOUD! It was okay though because it was hot, so we had the air conditioning on and doors closed, which softened the sound a bit. It’s probably just a summer occurrence but if anyone in your group has hearing aids they might struggle a bit. My only wish list item would be wifi because the phone reception is patchy.

Lovely country property
Excellent house in perfect spot with beautiful view. Everything supplied. we had a lovely weekend. The only one fault we didn't like were the cow pats throughout the lawn area. Just had to be careful where we walked.

We loved our stay. Boys were gravel biking, girls hiked. We cooked in each night and sat around the gorgeous fire. The view from the verandah is breathtaking. Photos do not do the house justice. We definitely will be back.

Wonderful Aussie Getaway
We had an incredible experience here! It's undoubtedly one of the most stunning properties I've visited in Australia. The house blends seamlessly with its surroundings, and we particularly enjoyed the Bon fire area and the Pizza oven, where we made delicious pizzas. The comfort of the main bedroom bed was exceptional, and the house had plenty of lovely seating areas that allowed us to savor the breathtaking views. Without a doubt, I highly recommend this place!

Very well stocked kitchen, including slow cooker, garlic press, baking equipment aa well as a range of essentials including fire starters, tea, coffee. Will definitely be back again. Absolutely breathtaking views, beautifully decorated & has all the facilities you need. If I had to give feedback it would only be about the ducted aircon being noisy and difficult to get the temperature right. Otherwise the property was absolutely gorgeous.

A beautiful house with superb views
We enjoyed our stay very much. Superb views and as quiet location as you can get, close to nature and mountains. The house itself was well-equipped, clean, tidy, comfortable and stylish. The only thing that bothered us was the shower: We were told in advance that it needed new silicon to be applied and indeed the floor had to be wiped after every use (with not enough towels/cloths available). Another comment is that a dishwasher could be a great improvement! But a wonderful stay overall.

When you need to unplug from your everyday grind
A haven to reconnect with nature with all your needs at hand. I had been craving a quiet country stay for some time and it provided. We sat on the veranda watching that wonderful view and let the stress dissolve.

Great Winter Retreat
A beautiful setting. House is clean and well furnished with all amenities catering to convenience and comfort. Gas fire and central heating were lovely for both evenings and early morning. The only thing I would suggest would be a shower in the main bedroom ensuite. Thank you for another lovely stay.

You can feel the serenity!
Amazing space and so secluded! Sitting around the fire pit as the sun goes down and you forget all your troubles. Communication with the owner from the outset was prompt and the detailed instructions were fantastic. Loved exploring the scenic rim and watching the glow of the lights from the coast on the horizon!

Close to nature but all the mod cons
Spectacular views, very comfortable house, peace and quiet. We enjoyed watching the wallabies, and all the bird life, and even saw an echidna. Definitely a place to return to.

Tranquil and beautiful
I would definitely recommend this wonderful home. The location is peaceful and views are truly spectacular. The house has a wonderful open feel and has everything you need. The fire pit was also a great bonus! We were planning on having another couple join us and it would have been ideally suited to this, however it also worked well for just the two of us. We plan to be back.

Happiness and Serenity
Mark’s place is just perfect for a relaxing and quiet getaway. The fire pit is Devine, the backdrop of the range is definitely an artists perfect subject matter. Spent 3 nights here with my immediate family for my 50th and it was just perfect.

What you see is what you get
Yes the mountains are that close. Sit on the deck with your wine and watch the kookaburras have a bath in the pond and wallabies graze. You only need food everything else is supplied. Will be back

Loved the set up and location of this house. Good for two couples. Very comfortable bedding and lovely views down the valley. Please be aware that there is only one shower. There are two other baths. Very well set up with all cooking items you would ever need. Easy days drive to local wineries, brewery and pubs.

Spectacular views and serene
This property has spectacular view of the escarpment and into a valley. It is quiet. Very quiet and great for relaxing. Just remember it's quite a way from amenities, so bring all ingredients you need to cook with including basic items such as oil.
