Decent option in the Big T

Short notice booking in Taumaranui, options are limited but plumbed for this motel and quite happy with the result. No prizes for looks or views but otherwise a serviceable and very clean room. Weirdly the vanity doors were coming apart but everything else was v good.

Great hotel in a forgotten city!

Great Motor inn for a weekend getaway great staff spacious rooms one thing wrong was bath didn't work in our room but everything else was great close to town center and awesome cafes will stay again!

We arrived late afternoon with a flat tyre and we’re given some good advice by staff. They stored our frozen meat too😃. The room was quiet, clean and had everything we needed and a huge TV with Sky👍

This motel has seen better days, it’s a good place for just a stop-over, but it’s dated. Could do with airco. Bed was ok and the place was clean. Restaurant was closed. Parking was a bit fiddly.

I would like to see an updated site, that show options for which room you are booking, many of the rooms have same price but the advertised room, varies from what is lead to believe is what you're paying for. Actual Pics of all the rooms is essential for me. I travel for visits there and would like my $400+ to be of accommodating to my young babies despite it only being booked for 2 travellers, my children are not staying but bookings need to be specific @ this price. Otherwise overall I prefer this MotorInn over (if it were an option on their part) staying with family as I am from Taumarunui.

We were late but my cousin checked in for us. We booked a total of 4 rooms. The receptionist/owner was rude and obnoxious and blatently said when you leave shut the door and leave the TV on the wall. Little does he know we could by 1 million of those TV's. We wont be back.
