Right in the heart of Taupo CBD, enjoy easy access to everything from this perfectly located, first floor apartment.

Sit on the rear balcony for the morning sun and breakfast and enjoy the front balcony in the evenings to watch the sunset or the holiday makers having photos with the #lovetaupo sign, with a glass of wine.


If you have a larger group and wish to book the ground floor apartment as well, please search for 'Taupo Town Apartment '



The apartment has an open plan lounge, kitchen, diner. A fully equipped kitchen.
The main bedroom has a king bed and ensuite with wardrobe and changing area.
The lounge has a sofa bed for 2 guests.

There may be guests in the downstairs apartment during your stay. Please be considerate of them with parking and noise levels, like I have asked them to be with you also :)


**Please note from June 2024 a hotel is being built on the neighbouring piece of land. This may or may not have an impact on your stay. At this time (21/05/2024) I do not know how long this will be for**

Great location!
A great location - could see the Taupo sign from our balcony! It was such a cool little place and had a really spacious living area. We were very happy with our stay ☺️ I wouldn’t recommend for young children/babies that are crawling/ just walking however and there are steep stairs with no door/gate.

Great modern and tidy Taupō home base!
A great place to stay to be close to everything in downtown Lake Taupō, an easy walk to the restaurants and shops, and just as easy to head off elsewhere to adventure. The (upstairs) apartment is quite spacious with lots of lounge space and a few decks with views of the lake and town.

Best Taupō stay in a long time
My daughter and I had a last minute trip to Taupo and luckily I found ‘Stay in Town’ had a vacancy for our 2 nights. Firstly we were stunned with the location….beautiful view over the lake, literally a minutes walk to lakefront and main shops. The apartment was spacious, very well equipped, lovely fresh bedding etc We loved it so much we managed to get an extra night! 👌 Only pitfall, which didn’t bother us at all, was going through the bedroom to the bathroom…..who cares when you’re with family and/or friends. It was very very hot in Taupo at the time but the aircon was perfect! Hit the jackpot with this one!
