The Space:

Newly Refreshed and Upgraded Accommodations

Your condo has been completely renovated with custom designer decor, top of the line finishes, and local artwork all in the vibrant, tropical colors of the Keys.



The airy open plan living/ kitchen/ dining area boasts Keys artwork, a large, comfortable queen sofa bed and two chairs and a half for your seating comfort. Free high-speed Wi-Fi, HD frame TV for your viewing pleasure and books and games complete the experience. Enjoy a drink and a snack on the balcony while watching the birds and other Keys native species.



The new ultra-modern kitchen has bar seating, large counters and everything you need for your stay, including grilling essentials and collapsible cooler for use at our grilling areas. A coffee lovers heaven, it has a specialty coffee machine for brewing a full pot or cappuccino/ latte/ espresso. Cold brew, French press and moka pots complete the picture. Here, you can create anything from a simple snack to a full gourmet meal.



The primary suite boasts a top-of-the-line king bed and mattress with crisp linens for a cool night’s sleep. Luxuriate in the spa shower with body sprays, giant rain shower head and wand. Hotel quality lighted mirrors make it easy to get ready. Our ghost desk and chair make it easy to catch up on work. A large HDTV is included. Take a moment to enjoy your morning coffee on your own private balcony and watch the sunrise.



Our guest suite boasts another comfy king bed and ensuite bath with all you need for a comfortable stay in bright tropical colors with a large HDTV for late night movies.



Guests at Island Time also enjoy the convenience of an in-unit washer/dryer. Additional cleaning can be arranged for a small fee by contacting the local vacation rental company.



You are also just steps away from the building one exclusive sitting, grilling and games areas. Enjoy a barbecue and get your game on with a round of table tennis, cornhole, giant Jenga or other fun pursuit.



Ocean Pointe is captivating Resort that offers so many exciting amenities. Soak up the sunshine at the Junior Olympic pool, or spend a starlit evening in the hot tub for 14. Play a rousing game of tennis or pickleball at the on-site court and let the little ones enjoy the nearby playground.



Take a stroll down to the marina and check out the catch of the day and enjoy the sunshine at the resort’s private sandy beach with boardwalk and Tiki pavilion. If you’d like to bring your own boat up to 28’, dockage is available for an additional fee through the dockmaster reservation system



Our 24-hour Security and local vacation rental managers will give you peace of mind and attend to any needs you may have. Security cameras in public areas are interspersed throughout the property.



Guest Access:

Each reservation comes with two spaces for car parking. You will get a unique door code to access the condo.



Please be aware that from September 9-October 14, we are replacing our elevator and elevator service may not be available. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Ocean Pointe Suites is midway between Key Largo and Islamorada, the Diving and Fishing Capitals of the United States , promising you first-class fishing, diving and snorkeling opportunities, not to mention more fresh seafood than you can imagine! As the only reef system in the U.S. is right offshore, it doesn’t get any better than this!



The area is absolutely chock full of things to do- John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, the nation’s first underwater park, art galleries, Theater of the Sea, the History of Diving Museum, nature trails, kayaking, paddling, Cruisin’Tikis, Robbie’s of Islamorada, Dolphin Discovery, Laura Quinn Wild Bird Sanctuary, the Turtle Hospital- the list goes on. Not to mention all the colorful Keys eateries, a meadery, microbreweries, bars, fresh seafood, authentic Cuban cuisine, and more. No visit to the Keys is complete until you have tried a slice of our famous key lime pie- yum!



Drive in either direction and you can find yourself in the pulsing excitement of Miami, the otherworldly beauty of the Everglades, or the famous “Conch Republic”, Key West.



Please note that for gym lovers, the Mariner's Hospital extensive gym/rehab facilities are less than a mile away and a day pass is $15 and a weekly pass is $25.



Getting Around:

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

If you are arriving via car and have a GPS / SatNav system in the car, please use 500 Burton Drive, Tavernier, Florida as the address. If you do not have a GPS device, you can find us from the mainland by taking the Florida Turnpike south to Exit 4 - Homestead/Key West. This is the Turnpike Extension that will connect you to Route US 1 in Florida City, which takes you through the Keys to Key West at the very end of US 1.

Please be aware that speed limits throughout the Florida Keys are strictly enforced. Driving Route 1 to Key West is one of the most beautiful drives there is. Please be especially careful through the Big Pine Key area as this is a Key Deer Refuge. Speed limits are reduced in this area. You can reach Ocean Pointe by following Route 1 south from Homestead, over the 20-mile causeway, past Key Largo and making a left onto Burton Drive at mile marker 92.5, just before the Circle K convenience store and Dairy Queen in the median. Ocean Pointe is approximately half mile down Burton drive on your right. Please excuse us as we undergo renovations for a new gate house.



GETTING HERE WITHOUT A CAR

We understand that some of you will be traveling without a car. We would not recommend this, as there are many places to visit, and it could be significantly more expensive. Ride share apps such as Lyft and Uber are available in the area. Some possibilities to explore:



KEYS AIRPORT SHUTTLE provides daily door to door shuttle service to and from Key West & the Florida Keys & Miami & Ft Lauderdale airports.



The GREYHOUND KEYS SHUTTLE has daily scheduled departures from the Miami Airport to all areas in the Keys.



CAR PARKING

Parking is provided for two cars on site and is easily accessible to our unit. Please be aware that all guests must be registered prior to coming, and the plate numbers of cars provided.

Nature:

On over 60 pristine acres, Ocean Pointe has the perfect blend of centuries old natural beauty and modern-day luxury and convenience for a great couples getaway or family retreat. This nature view condo lets you get up close and personal with the birds and wildlife of the Keys- binoculars provided to observe our spectacular ospreys and other native species



We pride ourselves on our mangrove and nature conservancy area. We are home to many native species, ospreys and other birds, and a feral cat colony, all protected in the Keys. The feral cats and wildlife do not interact with guests, spending most of their time in the mangroves or sunning themselves at the edge of the conservancy. We ask your help in maintaining the health of our wildlife by NOT feeding them unnatural food sources. Feeding is strictly prohibited and fineable



Marina slip and/or trailer reservations have to be made prior to arriving with the Dockmaster. RV's and jet skis are not allowed.
