"This warm and welcoming cottage Under the Elms, located in a residential neighborhood in Hastings was a delightful respite from the abundant ho hum hotels and holiday park cabin accommodations we experienced since leaving Auckland. This rare gem is appointed with fully stocked kitchen, heated bath floors and towel bars, cozy living room and patio sitting areas. The two bedrooms are fitted with excellent quality beds and linens, making sleeping in a treat. The windows and lighting in the cottage are intentional and make for a welcoming feel from the moment you step through the door. The main bedroom has a king and the second bedroom is a full/queen, plan accordingly if you have larger 6’3 & 6’5” boys. The location and grounds were perfect, with lemon and lime trees outside the bathroom windows and beautiful roses outside the bedroom windows. This property is what all VRBOs aspire to be. Wonderful! We will return and hopefully for longer next time. "
