Surprisingly nice inside the room, much better inside than outside, we jokingly called it the scout hut, or village hall although they call it the lodge, a lovely room though for such a good price, would stay again, service excellent, pub is nice but food was mediocre, mixed grill was somewhat pale and barely cooked as if it had been done in a hurry although we would have been more than happy to wait.....
As we had a more than reasonable discount rate you can’t complain you get what you pay for however if we had to pay the full normal rate we would of been very different Last minute booking to see family noisy accommodation needs updating not very clean bed needs replacing tv not working room not cleaned after first night dirty cups and bins not emptied staff pleasant though Not able to sort the tv food was good value had a midweek meal deal hot quick service and welcoming
It was a comfortable stay, but the doors of the hotel were quite loud when they closed. There also was a bad smell emanating from the toilet, but the shower was nice.
Good location, rooms comfortable, good menu.
Rooms not cleaned daily and towels not replaced.
One of the restaurent staff needed to be more attentive when booking in and taking food orders. Several mistakes made and no apology offered.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
While the staff were very polite, helpful and apologetic that they had no chef to cook breakfast. We found the rooms to be clean although the bathroom needed up grading
There didn’t appear to be any sound proofing between rooms so bad that I had to bang on the wall
Staff friendly and very helpful. Food good. Surprised to find rooms only cleaned every three days. No problem but suggest staff advise of this when you book in. Value for money - you get what you pay for.
