When going out in the morning seeing the entrance in daylight was horrible. Bins and just not a safe looking place....

"This stay at Blackthorn went above and beyond what I needed - some time and space for myself to write. In the comfort and peace of this hut in this location, I was able to write nearly 10,000 words, unheard of in my everyday busy life at home! "It was just ok. Location was excellent for us which is a big plus but let down by poor communications (no response to phone calls or emails at all). Check in instructions were sent, but after check in time. "This hotel is comfortable and quiet. About a miles walk from the center of the city, but you have options to walk along the city streets or the Oxford Park paths. Breakfast was good and a decent price and it was nice to have a restaurant on site. The room was very comfortable. It was nice to have a couch in the room that was comfortable and made it easy to get work done. The coffee and tea station was also a nice touch, they refilled with biscuits every day too! We were very comfortable!"
