"This was a very pleasant surprise - nice wooden beamed room and large comfortable bed with a continental style breakfast in a quiet village location. Check in and check out was, in the end, easy, although we are still waiting for a response to a query message. We arrived well before the specified 5pm check in time but this didn't seem to be a problem. The 10am check out was not ideal but we worked around it."

"Room was spacious and clean the bathroom had toiletries and plenty of towels. Lovely food but the drinks prices were expensive compared to other pubs in the town. Pleasant stay we enjoyed."

"All good; stayed before and will stay again. Breakfasts cooked to order are excellent, but they ran out of decaf tea this time, and only bananas at breakfast on the first day of our three day stay, and choice of breakfast cereals could be healthier (no muesli and only non-sugary option was wheatabix)."

"The stand out feature was the attitude of the staff. They were friendly and helpful making our stay so easy Food and drink were great and the location was perfect in the middle of Crickhowell. Loved the whole vibe…thank you."

"Great one night stay at the Pilgrim. The room was spacious and clean, albeit a bit faded - the ensuite in particular could have benefited from redecoration. However, it was still good value for money. Dinner was excellent, and far above the usual hotel standard: the crispy beef in sweet chilli sauce is highly recommended and my filled flatbread starter was also very accomplished. The Pilgrim has clearly found itself a talented chef, which makes the hotel very appealing for anyone who values great food. Overall, a great experience and I hope to stay here again soon."
