「This is a quaint place to stay after a day of exploring the Black Hills. The room was clean and inviting. And with the common room, my friends, who love hot tea in the morning, could drink, sit on the sofa and anticipate the day’s adventures. 「This historic house is beautifully maintained and the rooms are very comfortable. We had the attic room which is extra large and has an amazing spa shower. The proprietors took great care to prepare a wonderful breakfast each morning. Loved our stay at 1899!」

「We were looking for a place to stay over the Labor Day weekend close to Lake Poinsett and this little gem was perfect! It was very easy to book and the hosts responded immediately when we sent a message. It was super clean and the beds were very comfy! Lakeside Coffee Co was right next door with delicious coffee and pastries. We will definitely book again!!」
