Views of Lake Ontario which Ontario comes from an Iroquois word meaning “beautiful lake”. Not pictured here but to the right of the shot is La Grande Hermine it is a replica of one of the 3 ships that Jacques Cartier used when exploring and the St. Lawrence river back in 1535. A side show attraction since it is half submerged due to arson in 2003. #bvsblue photo contest #lakeontario

Replica of a carrack just off the highway right next to lake Ontario. Great views of it, lake , and a marina. Nice short stop not requiring going much out of ones way to see. Worth the extra couple minutes of driving.
Beautiful Eastern Niagara
One of my favourite wineries in the Niagara region right now - it’s actually in an area called the Beamsville Bench, which is a unique microclimate right before Niagara on the Lake that produces really great wine. The unfiltered Pinot Noir is my current obsession but they are doing all sorts of interesting and experimental things with other wines as well as making beer types of Mead. #winery #Niagara
