Most of the people in those areas practise chena cultivation as their major income. But those cultivated lands are destroyed by the elephants and wild boars as the density of animals in this region is very high. So, the farmers make these kind of huts on trees and protect their cultivation through out the night for months.
The luxury tent at Elephant Lake Yala was incredible. The food, setting and service couldn’t be faulted. Highly recommend this overnight experience.
