Central Continental Hotel

8/10 Good

"No AC. We did have a balcony. Had to leave all the windows open. The room was stuffy and the bed uncomfortable. I do like visiting Europe to see the sights. But it feels like I am living in 1950,s America as a kid. No AC, small room, no ice, noise outside, windows open. Wake up Europe its the 21st century."

"Conveniently located directly across from the train station. Beautiful traditional hotel with a wonderful staff. Some of the amenities were closed during our stay for refurbishing but otherwise we loved it. The beds were good, breakfast was ok but not quite as good as we've had elsewhere in the region. Best of all are the mountain views and the Lauterbrunnen valley below! The views are stunning. We could have sat our on our balcony all day. It's also right in town (Wengen) and close to everything. We would stay there again if we ever return."

"We were in the Guesthouse which is the 'budget' rooms of The Hey Hotel. Room was clean, beds comfy, excellent breakfast. View from both our rooms was out onto the roof terrace of the next door building about a metre away. The rooms would benefit from a voile curtain for privacy without drawing curtains. This didn't really spoil our 2 night stay as we were only in the room to sleep. Easy access to Ost station, No 21 bus. And walkable to West Station."
