“This is the fifth time we have stayed and it is always wonderful. We were there for 2 weeks this time. An amazing unique house with a sensational design related apparently to Chaco Canyon. There are so many exquisite details and a gorgeous high roof in the main room. Hot tub also great. And privacy and silence very restoring. The host, Alicia, could not be more charming and heloful. Its a magical place and we highly recomnend it. Can't wait to come back for our 6th visit !”

“This is our 3rd stay at “The Getaway.”It’s a wonderful place for all ages. If you need a break and place to reset from the daily grind this is the sanctuary to do so. We enjoy the quiet to read and reconnect with family on the porch over a cup of coffee or a meal at the table. Our family enjoys playing card or board games or walks down to the river. We always come home refreshed! Abby is a gracious host who provides an inviting atmosphere for all to enjoy! We look forward to returning this Fall.”

“Having Family in Chama we have always stayed with family. This year we tried something different and rented a cabin. This cabin was beautiful and it made our stay more authentic. It had the perfect amount of beds for everyone with us and it was equipped with everything we needed. The host Gail was very responsive and helpful when questions were asked.The only issues were the water would pulsate as if the well was low on water and the microwave had a small crack in it but it did not make any……

“A very nice cabin with excellent amenities. We were impressed with the attention to detail of everything. We found the cabin to be in very good condition and very COMFORTABLE. “We loved this cabin! It was clean, spacious (even with 4 kids), and the location is perfect. It's about a 15 minute drive to Trujillo Meadows which has great fishing and hiking. Seeing the train was a huge plus for the kids. We also enjoyed having access to the internet and watching movies during the evening. We look forward to staying here again! ”
