“Lovely place, peaceful location. Great Bathroom, Beds comfy, Knives sharp and pans non-stick, everything working as it should. Probably the best we've stayed in and we have stayed in a lot of places over years. Garden fenced well and secure for the Dog. You can access short walks from the house but its only 15 min to walking beaches like NT cogden etc. and Symondsbury 1 mile up the road. So we had a very enjoyable few days.”

“Idyllic location, beautiful cottage with everything we needed. Friendly welcome. Central location meant we were able to easily visit many places from Stonehenge to Lyme Regis and beyond.”

“Hotel owner very friendly”

“Spent 3 nights in Batty’s barn for a wedding where our family stayed in all 3 properties on the farm. The farm is beautiful with loads of colours from the wild flowers. The welcome basket with bread, butter, jam etc was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. Ed was super helpful so much so member of the wedding party broke down in the day of the wedding and he helped bringing the family member to the wedding venue being a true life saver! Beds were lovely and comfy and the house was lovely……

“We had a great stay ...house was lovely, well equipped & communication was very good with owner.”

“This was a great place for our family get together. A gorgeous property and Bea location”

“I cannot say enough wonderful things about this home and hosts. The home is so well appointed, down to the silverware. Every detail is rich and inviting. Please ask for the breakfast. If the weather is beautiful you can ask for breakfast in the garden. Fresh orange juice, coffee/tea, and home made warm from the oven croissants and chocolate croissants. For a very reasonable price. Ask about watching a sunset from the ruins of a Roman fort! The owner has a wonderful map with local sites and……

“Booking and communication with Zoe was excellent. On arrival at The Barn, we were blown away by the attention to detail, each bedroom had robes, flip flops, towels for the pool as well as fluffy bath towels for our en-suite’s, plus chocolate! The standard of the barn was excellent with everything need in the kitchen. Shortly after arrival a member of staff popped in to see if we were ok. Sorry couldn’t remember her name! Grounds were perfect, spa amazing, garden furniture was used as we had……

“A beautiful old farmhouse with a lovely large garden in a lovely area. We enjoyed ourselves and the property was very clean and well presented. A minor issue (shower fell apart in one bathroom) was resolved quickly and with no fuss or question. We all felt a few more consumables would have been provided for a property of this size and quality. Many others we have stayed in over the years have provided a few bin bags for example (we were given one spare) and we had to move light bulbs about when……

“Lovely little apartment. Beautiful, quiet town . Shops close by . Wish we could have stayed longer :)”
