Mountain View Retreat Near PA Grand Canyon

  • Tioga's Peaceful Gem is a lovely rental located just 15 minutes from Pennsylvania's Grand Canyon, and a few miles bike ride from the Pine Creek rails to trails biking trail. Our home offers a master suite with an attached bathroom and a queen-sized bed, and two other bedrooms with queen-sized beds as well. There is another full bathroom, a laundry room, and a spacious, furnished kitchen filled with windows and natural lighting. The well-appointed living room is comfortably furnished and is the perfect place for relaxing and unwinding. Outdoors there's a fire-pit and a deck for dining, along with a beautiful lawn and gorgeous mountain views. You'll love our secluded home surrounded by nature outdoors, and sparkling clean indoors. Book today and enjoy connecting with loved ones at our beautiful home.

    We are 30 minutes from historic Wellsboro, just minutes from Hammond Lake Recreation area, and 20 minutes from Cowanesque Lake.





    IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

    - We kindly ask that there be no fireworks, loud music, rowdy behavior, or hunting on the premises.

    - Check-in is at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM.

    - Please be aware you will be charged 10% of the total trip at booking and the remaining 90% will be charged to the card on file, thirty days before check-in.

    - Absolutely no pets. If a pet is discovered, there will be a $250 upcharge.

There was no TV. It had been removed and replaced with a picture of a bible quote. Luckily my father had a small TV that my family could borrow for the weekend, so we transported it back and forth. There was also no grill, even though one was listed. Communication was also lacking. I didn't initially get a message about the house access code and had to message the host the day of check-in and then it took several hours to get a message back. I initially offered to buy a new TV and set it up, but didn't hear back until 6 hours after I messaged the host. The house was great otherwise. The living space was nicely set up (if there was a TV). The kitchen was nice. It is near a gas well, but I was surprised how little noise there was from that. 3 stars for a nice place, but the listing was inaccurate and the communication was lacking.

This house is 10/10. Just loved it! I would like to say Yes there is no TV but who needs one anyway! Not one person complain about no TV. It gave us time to actually have family time. Interact with each other. I loved the open environment of the house and my husband (which is a contractor) was asking if I was getting ideas for our own home he is planning on building soon. . Love how the basement was lay out for entertainment for kids and adults. Bedrooms was big and comfortable. Again, not one person complain about how they sleep. I was excepting to hear something along the lines of the 3 little bears story but nope!Kitchen...man there isnt enough words to put in how gorgeous the kitchen is set up. It has Gas stove ( im not expert on gas stoves) but I did fine. I didnt burn anything LOL. I did love the fact there is washer and dryer to use to wash laundry before you leave. No need to take home smelly clothes. I did leave a few things behind in the kitchen for whoever wants to make homemade cookies. Either the owners or the next set of people staying. Now, I was little surprised when we arrived that there is oil rig station I'm going to call it close by. You really cant hear it either. Now Im a very light sleeper and I can hear needle drop in the middle of the night. So, if I can sleep thru that. Its quiet. Oh, YES there are LOTS of deer in the evening on that road to the house. One night we counted over 200. We will be coming back to this place again soon. Thank yo

This place was very gorgeous. It was very clean. I rented this place out to surprise my girlfriend and propose to her at Barbour rock. The shower was phenomenal and all of the amenities were great. Any questions I had were answered quickly from the host. I would stay here again!
