The room was tidy and clean but a little tired in places , possibly due to a busy season. Breakfast was excellent , food in the bar was very good and prices were competitive . The ambience in the bar was good. The quiz was good fun. Excellent nights sleep . Overall very good

The room was basically dirty & scruffy. Linen & towels ok but the floor needed vacuuming & bathroom floor around skirting looked like had never been cleaned. Staff seemed stretched & too busy, most of the dinner menu was sold out & my partners poached eggs on toast resembled hard boiled eggs on toast as overdone. The pub is in a great location & my overall stay was not awful but should have been better. The room was only £65 so wasn't expecting the Ritz but expected a clean room without flaking paint.

We had a lovely stay at the fisherman's cot and it's in such a beautiful location. Room was basic but nice and clean with patio doors onto a little private garden with a back gate leading outside to the pub next to the river. Ideal location, friendly staff and yummy food. 😄

Wonderful property, enjoyable stay overall. Only frustrations were with not getting the set menu or 20% discount at dinner which was only realised after leaving. Breakfast service needs improving as the tea/coffee station was a drag and menus having pricing was confusing. Booked this hotel so I could get a quiet night of sleep in however our room had the ventilation unit outside the window so didn't get the silence I was excited for. Absolutely recommend the hotel as these issues were just a small inconvenience and most of the staff were incredibly professional and welcoming.

Fantastic location along with great staff. The food was also excellent. Close to Tiverton and the M5. Realy central to mid Devon and the moors. Old world place with modern facilities, the staff ensure you are welcome and they are helpful at all times. Breakfast was great and many choices. Plenty of parking. highly recommend it.

The staff were very pleasant in my view the room was tired but clean, unfortunately the outside building fabric has seen better days. It should be noted that breakfast is not included this was confusion with others at breakfast so be wary. We only stayed the one night so it was good enough the view from the rear garden is very nice.
