This was one of the most beautiful properties I have been too. Everything was amazing, the building, the furnishings, the art work & of course the magnificent gardens. We ate dinner each night & it was not only great value but also wonderful, fresh food. The staff couldn’t have been better & they helped make this a most memorable experience.

We stayed three nights at Tenuta the Canonica and it was completely worth it. From there we could explore easily Todi and Orvieto. The only thing we regret it’s that they don’t offer dinner. Besides that it was a wonderful experience.

The property provides a full immersive experience inside an authentic historic countryside building. The staff is very responsive, cordial and accommodating. We stayed during very hot and humid weather conditions, and that made me think that the facility could benefit from some upgrades to the current Air and Ventilation System.

Ho scelto questa destinazione quasi per caso per fare una sorpresa a mia moglie e... ci siamo trovati in questo posto assolutamente magico. La tenuta e' isolata percio' tranquillissima in mezzo a ettari di ulivi dei proprietari che producono anche un olio eccezionale. La vecchia torre medievale e' curatissima anche nei minimi particolari e ha tra gli altri interni un bellissimo salone con caminetto e un salone ristorante tutti arredati con gusto e raffinatezza'. Fuori oltre al magnifico giardino sempre curatissimo c'e' un bellissima tettoia ben attrezzata e curata e invitante a una tranquilla lettura. La piscina e' molto bella e ottimamente inserita nel contesto delle colline umbre tra prati , ulivi e magnifici fiori. Ottima la colazione e la cena. Anche i proprietari hanno cenato nel nostro salone e si sono dimostrati persone gentilissime e professionali come del resto tutto il personale. Se volevo fare una bella sorpresa a mia moglie, non potevo sperare in niente di meglio per bellezza,quiete e...incanto.

Perfection.
Tenuta di Canonica is paradise! It is an inn of great charm, decorated beautifully in the character of a gracious old Italian farmhouse, and making good use of it's historic features. The terrace, pool and surrounding grounds are perfectly sited and the views of the Tiber valley are as easy on the eye as any vista we have seen. The hills are covered with vineyards, olive trees and wheat and beans fields, creating a soft multi-hued mossaic. It is very close to Todi and a goregeous drive along the Tiber to Orvieto. Locations such as Carsulae, Amelia, Montefalco, Bevanga, Deruta are all easy drives, as well as Perurgia, Spello and Spoleto. The staff could not have been more helpful, The breakfast, which included fresh baked cakes and fresh orange juice, was delicious, Dinner is extra and also good. The terrace, which is covered by Jasmine, is a lovely place to dine. The staff also brought a lovely tea tray to us in the garden at our request when we returned from touring in the early evening. All together, this inn is just about perfect.
