Sooooo beautiful! Everything about it was beautiful! The dirt road leading up to it was misleading. No signs for Mayan Village. Just follow the signs to Cerritos Surf Town.

Vista inmejorable, mantenimiento pobre.

Las cabañas son una excelente opción, sin embargo están un poco descuidadas, les hace falta mantenimiento, hay poca ventilación, mi cabaña no tenía abanico, los baños playeros comunitarios están muy bien diseñados pero de nuevo, pudieran estar mejor mantenidos y más limpios. El complejo está dividido en el área para cabañas y habitaciones regulares, hay Restaurant y bar, ponen música y puedes usar uso de esas instalaciones aunque estés en las cabañas. En el área de las cabañas si bien no hay restaurante hay una pequeña alberca privada que está muy poco atendida y muy sucia, las regaderas exteriores para quitarse la arena de la playa ni siquiera tienen llave, no funcionan. Frente a mi cabaña había una palapa con luz que cuando intenté apagar la medio toques. Creo que es una maravilla de lugar, la ubicación es inmejorable y de la vista no me alcanzan el espacio para describirla! la verdad por el precio deberían de mantener mucho mejor las cabañas, creo que se confían demasiado en su ubicación, porque la verdad dormir arrullado por las olas del mar, ver las estrellas y esas maravillosas puestas de sol no tiene precio! sólo necesita un poco de mantenimiento.

Was a fair price for a basic bungalow. We had the pool to ourselves but no WiFi at room or at the pool. Can use the other main pool by the restaurant which did have WiFi. Food and drinks are kinda spendy, bring things for the small fridge, but there is no microwave. Things I would add would be some way to heat up water for coffee or tea as the restaurant doesn’t open til 8 and coffee is $3...no refill. Also a dunk bucket for your feet cause we were constantly tracking sand in. Otherwise was great to be right on the beach. enjoyed the property with Ocean views right from the room and all around! Close by, Try Napoli for Italian/pizza and Barracuda for tacos.

GREAT STAFF

the Dirt road to get to the resort is a bit bumpy, there are only 2 hot showers in the shared shower area , very pleasant breeze coming off the ocean at dusk, the pool needs more chlorine it’s a bit slimy like the other reviews said. The staff is amazing very polite and friendly. My battery died in the rental car the restaurant staff immediately helped me get back on the road in a matter of minutes , there was no fridge in my hut but we made due , the restaurant needs large ceiling fans to keep the flies off ya. Great to surf and beautiful sunset

I got really excited when I first found the hotel online but after reading reviews I was put off. I then read that the property was under new management, it was clear the reviews were improving since the change. I took a risk and booked one of the beach front huts. Check in was great, although no help taking all our stuff down to the huts. We arrive to our hut and the key doesn’t work, the handymen spend a while fixing it whilst we wait. Next thing the entire curtain pole falls down. At this point I’m panicking because I saw the warning signs. We speak with reception and the manager very kindly offers us a new room, one of the hotel rooms rather than the huts. Which was very generous. From the moment we moved rooms onward we had such a great stay. The pool area is great (which you get to use whether you stay in a hut or a hotel room) and the care from the staff to fix our problems was fantastic. The rooms are extremely clean but a little tired, stuff doesn’t last long by the sea, it could do with some updates. Eat at barracuda a 5 minute walk away, incredible Mexican food and cocktails. Thank you!

Great Experience.

Spent a just a couple of nights in the huts and it was great. Spent most of the time in the resort’s pool drinking margaritas. Looking forward to coming back. Will take them up on lessons next time.

Campen mit Pazifikblick und Roomservice

Wir waren in einem Palmblatthüttchen untergebracht und fanden es wunderbar. Die Hütten stehen direkt am Strand und man hört und sieht die ganze Zeit den Pazifik. Da wir Camper sind hat es uns nicht gestört, dass immer wieder Sand in der Hütte war und wir zur Toilette ein paar Schritte laufen mussten. Und täglich kam der Roomservice und hat alles wieder schön gemacht.

Overpriced for the lack of service

Understaffed as we had to wait outside our room with our baggage until well after check in. Room access was a long trip with all of baggage and nobody to help carry our bags. The food was way overpriced and the bar staff cleared our table before we finished eating, while we were told the bar was open all night? We did not appreciate the lawn mower at 8 a.m.
