Breathtaking view of the Lake! Very convenient to lake, restaurant/marina allows public swimming and general store! All in walking distance! At our private lake shore area enjoy swimming, canoeing fishing, etc. This guest cabin home is totally remodeled, with new kitchen appliances, washer and dryer, and is totally private from our near by trailer. View from kitchen is inspiring! Ten-by-28-foot covered porch is great for entertaining. Stair steps off of deck go to the private road down, then across Wayah road, then to the lake. The sunset views are awesome from this property! A great relaxing place to enjoy the water and views of Nantahala on a budget!

Fantastic stay!

Better than advertised.

The view was spectacular. Lex was so helpful and stayed in constant communication. It was the second time we stayed in the area, once in the fall, and this time in the winter. We will be back, hopefully this time in the summer. House was super clean and the beds were comfortable. We truly enjoyed it.

Really enjoyed this property - great view of the lake, spacious interior, close to the marina, and a very nice host - Alex - who greeted us. He showed us around and gave us some great tips. Will definitely return!

Amazing view of Lake Nantahala

Cabin overlooks the lake and mountains, incredible views! The hot tub felt great after a day of hiking. Cabin is within 20 minutes of the NOC. It had all the amenities we needed. WiFi coverage was better in the back bedroom, but not as good in the front of the cabin. Our teens survived. The owner is onsite at the property and gave great suggestions on area hikes. We are looking forward to visiting again next summer!

I chose this spot because of the good reviews and the close proximity to Nantahala Outdoor Center.

Beautiful place and website is correct-those sunsets are magnificent! Lex lives on the property and is more than willing to help in any way. Very knowledgeable of the area and gives great advise on sightseeing. We will return!!!

Beautiful and Serene Getaway

Our company books this property for our wedding planners when they have a wedding in the area and it really is something that we all look forward to. Sitting in the hot tub overlooking the lake with a cold glass of rosé is true luxury. Thanks for always making these trips memorable!

Relaxing days with great view

We had three very nice days and Alex is a very nice guy. The tips he gave us about the outdoor activities were perfect. And he has his own canoes you can use to paddle over the lake. We would definitely recommend it.

wonderful place and location

We ( 2 couples ) had a wonderful 4 night stay at this cabin. Wish we could have stayed longer! Lex, the host was welcoming, friendly and helpful and at the same time very respectful of our privacy. The whole place has a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, its bright, clean , colorful and lovely! we like to cook our own meals and we had everything we needed to do so. The location is wonderful- we hiked during the day, then went swimming in the lake ( about a 3 minute walk from the house ) and then warmed up in the hot tub, while looking out over the lake and mountains. We definitely hope to come back. thank you!

The view from the cabin was the best part. The "lake access" was not what we expected. We had hoped to be able to spend our vacation fishing from a dock. The "dock/lake access" was a rickety set of stairs leading straight into the water. The "dock" was floating out to the side against the bank. We were told to climb over the railing to get to it. Not safe at all. Long story short we had to pay a guide to take us out fishing due to lack of access. We were told we could use the owners small boat but at this point I was leery of the safety of the boat. The inside of the cabin was clean. The outside yard area was not all that great. Kind of junky. This was our first time renting using VRBO. I guess you learn as you go.

Little piece of Heaven

My kids and I enjoyed the house and the lake so much. It's in the middle of no where and that was perfect for us. Nice and quiet. Beautiful lake view. Loved sitting in the hot tub each night and watching the sunset and fireflies everywhere. Having the canoes to take around the lake was so much fun. My son even caught a fish. Received a thorough explanation of everything along with some recommendations for things to do around there. Thank u so much for the awesome time there 😁

Private & Relaxing

Last weekend's plans had been made almost 5 months ago, at a different location. The owner canceled less than a week prior, thankfully. If not, we would not have been able to have enjoyed Alex's place. It sits high across from the lake, so the views are spectacular. The hot tub provides a full view of the beautiful sunset behind the mountain ridge. If you're lucky enough to the have the moon phase on your side, you'll be staring straight at her as well. Alex was out of the country, but he called soon after our arrival and gave us lots of information regarding the house details and hikes in the area. His son came by later to check on us, but after that, we saw no one else the entire weekend. Joyce Kilmer is a short drive for hiking. Follow Wayah Road down into the Nantahala River Gorge for a delicious burger at NOC. We paddled Nantahala Lake on Saturday (we had our kayaks, but Alex has canoes available). My husband caught the biggest breem ever, but alas, "Gary" got away. You can purchase your fishing license at Bryant Bait & Tackle not far from the house. Fishing lost our interest as soon as we discovered the Eagles' nest. We spent almost two hours watching the eaglets! The house is cozy & clean. It was perfect for just the two of us but would accommodate two couples with kiddos (or not) just as easily. Make sure you go to Granieri's in Andrews; delicious Italian food! Thanks, Alex for sharing your home!

Absolutely Breathtaking!

While looking for weeks to find a cabin for my Husband's birthday weekend, I came across this cabin and knew this would be perfect! To my surprise when we arrive we are blown away by how beautiful and charming it was. Better then we even expected!! Shortly after arriving we are greeted by Alex who was incredibly caring and fun to talk to! He was very knowledgeable with the area and his concern was making sure we had the best time while we were there. My Husband had a great, relaxing weekend. We found a wonderful cabin to come back to and friend in the process! As soon as we left we already started planning another time to come back and stay. If you are like us and want a quiet, relaxing yet fun and love being outdoors this is definitely the cabin for you!!
